Home Tour Featuring Le Cultivateur

Happy Friday Friends! It's my favorite day of the month - it's a First Friday Home Tour! Today we are featuring Emily of Le Cultivateur and her gorgeous home.

Emily and her husband have four growing boys. She relayed the story to me that a little over a year ago they lived in a much-loved townhome. When they decided to move to a house, they called a realtor, had pictures taken, and then the townhouse sold that weekend before it was even listed! They had to find a new home very quickly.

Emily promised her husband that if they got a brand new house, there would be no projects for a while. We know how that goes, right? Well, she waited patiently and then when enough time had passed, she jumped on the project list.

Emily is a doer and collector of favorite things. She just knows how to put old and new together to create a perfectly cultivated look.

Look closely at the pretty entryway where Emily recently shared her method for a board and batten treatment on the walls. She also changed the decor to create this welcoming vignette. The whole area was transformed for $91! She has challenged herself to complete many of her projects for $100 or less.

Emily is not afraid of power tools! In the living room,  she recently built a faux fireplace to create a focal point. Don't you love the collection of old mirrors above?

Another amazing project involving power tools was this mudroom makeover. The color knocks my socks off!

When you visit Le Cultivateur, be sure to see the Fall Home Tour. And don't miss the darling fall garland made from goodies collected in nature.

The house is new but the kitchen has Emily's touch on it too. She participated in a Top Shelf Challenge with some other bloggers to create this pretty little nook below with framed recipes and farmhouse decor.

In a short time, there's a lot to see at Le Cultivateur. Don't miss the boy's room decor, the fresh flower arrangements, the alabaster lamp collection, and so much more!

Thanks so much for allowing me to feature your beautiful home and blog, Emily. :)

  29. I'm always so admiring of people that can do so much on such a small budget. Try as iI might it never quite works out for me! It always takes way longer and costs way more. This is beautiful! I need tips!
