Home Tour Featuring Living on Cloud Nine

Good morning home tour lovers!  I say this each month but  I'm saying it again...you are in for a real treat! This month we are visiting the home of Andrea of Living on Cloud Nine. Andrea is one of the sweetest bloggers! She shares fashion, recipes, home and garden, shopping and more. She's encouraging, friendly, and gorgeous all rolled into one. I know you'll enjoy this great tour. Andrea will be telling you about her blog and home. Enjoy!!

Hello! I'm Andrea Nine from the blog, Living on Cloud Nine. With the last name of Nine, it was an obvious choice for a blog name as I strive to live every day with bliss. I'm so honored to have our new home featured on Stacey's Home Feature series. I started this blog over 3 years ago as a way to fill the void of boys off to college. My blog is family, food, fashion and fun focused. I love digging in the dirt, all kinds of flowers, exercising, home decorating, baking, cooking (I have plans to write a "Dine with Nine" cookbook) and fashion. Plus, we are a family who loves outdoor activities and are currently on our family beach vacation on Northern Lake Michigan.

My husband and I had no intentions of building yet with two sons in college and one, a soon to be Senior in high school. However, all that changed when we stumbled upon some land that was meant to be. Not only was it partially wooded, but a river ran along the back and a house there would face a pond in front so "front porch" popped in my head. We had kept a house plan on file so we dusted it off, bought the land and took our ideas to the best builder in the county. After weeks of customizing, they dug in June 2017. They noted it was one of the most difficult truss systems they have ever done but we were so grateful as we love the peaks!

While the home is finished and we've been living here for 6 months, we are still in the process of gathering just the right furniture pieces and decor. I would call my style farmhouse glam with some modern bits thrown in. I fell so in love with a shiplap wall in what we call our "pool room" that a carpenter will be installing another around the windows in our kitchen nook and custom built-ins are being installed in the living room this fall.  You get so wrapped up in the building process that after the fact you have the "oh I wish we'd done that!" Being surrounded by boys, my husband was kind enough to let the bonus space be all mine where I really glammed it up including a blush and silver bathroom with crystal light sconces.

Every girl needs a little glam and Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine has included some rooms just for her!

Just a little glam in this powder room. Gray and white with blush accents in this glamorous powder bath.

I chuckle as people coming over will occasionally get lost. Some musts for me were white trim, a white kitchen, and a craftsman style. We joke that my walk-in closet, complete with an island, is bigger than my husband's home office. I love it so much that I joke I could literally lay down and sleep in there. You can see more details of the closet and please note, Mr. Nine does have his own walk-in.

The most amazing lady's closet ever! Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine recently finished building this beautiful craftsman style home. She was able to include glam features for her to enjoy in her all male house.

For this feature, I have included many of my favorite areas. You'll notice many accent walls, which was also a must in design element for us. The outdoor space is slowly becoming an oasis. The backyard still needs to be put in but the pool is finally complete and when you're in the pool, you can actually watch the TV above the lanai fireplace. A favorite outdoor feature besides the beautiful path to the river is the matching pool house.

Stacey...I am so glad you stopped by. I haven't seen Eider White around but it's beautiful in your home. Ours is less pink now but the mix has maroon in it. It's fresh and pretty and growing on my eyes that like warmer tones.
