Hello Sunshine! Hello Spring!

Today was the day! There's always the day when you wake up and realize that spring is definitely going to happen in spite of the doubts you might have had yesterday.

Hello Sunshine! Hello Spring! Coffee table vignette at Poofing the Pillows.

Today was the day that the sun decided to shine in the windows after many long days of much needed rain. Today I see the sparkle!

Today my thoughts turn to potting soil and geraniums...pink toes and flip flops.

Today I think my heart is beating a little faster and I heard frogs in the distance when I went to the mailbox.

Thank goodness for today! Are you experiencing signs of spring where you are?

  1. Your home is just so lovely. No signs of spring here. We won't see anything greening up until April sometime..and nothing will bloom until May usually. I do NOT like these long, cold winters!!!
I hope you have a great week- xo Diana

  2. Stacey,
Yes, experiencing spring at my house. The daffodils are blooming, the redbud tree has buds, and the pear tree is spouting... AND the rye grass is green once again from all the rain.

  3. Oh boy, I wish spring was showing its head here. I would be happy to see a hair on spring's head!! We can (and more often than not do) get snow into April. Mother's Day is the earliest recommended planting day here, but it's fun to dream and get lost in your beautiful spring view.

  6. We just had our flower beds mulched and lots of leaves cleaned out today. So it is starting to feel like spring, and I'm ready to put some new plants in! Beautiful photos!

  7. I took my snowmen down today -- a sure sign that it will snow next week. But it's almost March 1 and time to look toward spring, even if it is a long while coming. Love your bunny pillow and the bright, springy look in your beautiful home. No planting for awhile, though in the thaw, the bulbs have started to peek up. But it will come!

  8. A little sign of spring here but so, so much rain and dreary, cloudy days. Spring can't get here quick enough. Beautiful pics of your "springy" looking home.

  11. Good Morning Stacey. Oh so jealous you are already getting Spring. We here in the midwest won't see Spring until April and even then we could get snow! Ugh!!! So I have the pink toes but no flip flops just yet. Love your bunny pillow so adorable. Enjoy that sunshine and warmth. Bask in it for me.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  12. I'm so with you Stacey! I'm ready to start planning and planting! Plus my passion vine is going crazy on my back fence, my Chinese Pistachio tree has buds on it! Sure signs that spring is almost here! Love your rabbit pillow!

  13. Yes, spring looks like it’s on the way in Memphis. Sunshine and temps in the 60s yesterday. I bought some pansies and snapdragons to replace those in my window box that the 2 events of ice and snow destroyed. It felt wonderful digging in the dirt. I know it seems silly to plant now, but it looks so good to have the flowers welcoming spring! Make my home look happy! Your home is very lovely!

  14. We are embracing it all and every moment of it too. Yesterday afternoon was just glorious. All of these wonderful birds singing up a storm and my puppy is learning how to walk on a leash. Life is good.
Sounds like you are feeling much better! Yippee!

  15. Your new forever home is so pretty...I love your colors and your photos are blowing me away.
Hints of spring here ...winds most every day and a little sand in the air. Our springs aren't as pretty as in other places but we have wonderful, hot summers.

  16. I am drooling over your home. My house is so dark, and I've been going through it room by room year by year to lighten it up. I like the first picture because I see how you were able to work a dark grandfather clock into your room. I have one too and I don't want to get rid of it because of sentimental reasons, I see now how I can keep it by lightening everything else in the room up. As for spring, nope, no signs whatsoever yet! :( I live in Wisconsin and we just had another winter storm on Saturday and there are more to come this week.

  17. I love your enthusiasm Stacey. I was the same way this weekend... then the Mister decides to burst my bubble and say - No, you can't go by flowers for the pots because you know we'll probably get another freeze in March like we usually do. :( Wow, what a way to cheer a girl up. Beautiful, well "finished" home. ;)

  22. Dear Stacey ~ These glimpses into your lovely home are so inspiring and beautiful.

Here in s.e. FL there isn't much of a visible change in seasons. It would be nice if there were, but alas, we do have very mild winters. It is supposed to get down into the 50's at night over the weekend, so that will be wonderful. One last bit of winter type weather for us before summer's heat and humidity come. I worked outside for about three hours this morning and I kept smelling this sweet scent. It was a few blooms filling the air from the sweet almond bush.

On the first day of spring this year I will be 69 years young. Wow, where did the time go.

Enjoy your week and spring coming to your area.

  23. We have had unseasonably warm weather lately and everything is blooming. Praying we don't get a late freeze. This year I truly welcome the early spring, it reminds me of the hope and renewal we are promised. I can't wait to dig in the dirt again.
You have created such a lovely home friend.

  26. I love your aqua blues..now that's spring!

We had two warmish days--fifties and sixties. Now we have rain and snow on the way. We are always teased with nice weather like this, but we sure appreciate it!

  32. Love that bunny pillow. My pear tree, peach trees and plumb trees has blooms. It is crazy weather though as we never know if it's going to cool, warm or in the middle. It seems we often experience one more frost before Easter so we shall see. Love your home Stacey. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
