First Friday Home Tour Featuring An Opulent Cottage

Happy first Friday in July! This is the day of the month when I get to feature another blogger's beautiful home. All of my color loving friends will be happy today to have some peeks of Andrea's home at Opulent Cottage. Andrea lives in a beautiful historic area of Dallas in the sweetest cottage that she shares with her husband, daughter, and a few rescued cats.  I've been reading her blog for a long time as I'm sure some of you have.

I wish you all could just hang out for a little while with Andrea to know her bubbly and fun personality. You can guess by her bold use of color that she's an enjoyable person to be with. I've had a great time wandering the gardens of the Dallas Arboretum and shopping with her a few times.

You would never guess by looking but this girl is a TJMaxx, Ross, and thrift store genius! She's the girl who can show you the best stuff at the best prices. She's not afraid to paint, sew, recover or do whatever it takes to tackle a project.  I just love the way she mixes handmade items with high end items to create the perfect look. Of course, she's a lover of the color red and it shows all around.

Andrea and her husband Maurie have participated in the One Room Challenge more than one time. The following three pictures are all examples of those projects. Don't you just love her happy-go-lucky but sophisticated style?

The master bedroom is the most recently completed project and I think it's swoon worthy! Those striped yellow curtains are perfect mixed with all the patterns in the room. Also, those chandeliers!! Let's just stare at those for a moment.

For those of you who long for fall, here's a peek of her porch where neighbors and friends gather. Opulent Cottage was featured a few years ago in a national magazine. They need to send a camera crew back for an update.

Thank you so much Andrea for allowing me to feature your Opulent Cottage today. Be sure to visit her blog or follow her on Instagram for updates. You'll be inspired. You'll smile. You'll want to bring more color into your world! :)
