This Is My We're Not Going On a Vacation so I Need Good Books List

Hi Friends!
What is it about summer that makes me want to read? Do you feel that way? Reading on the porch, reading at the pool, reading at the beach...it all sounds so carefree and wonderful. Almost every year I put together a list of books I'd like to read. Here's my list for this summer.

I used to make myself read a classic book each summer but NO MORE! I just want to read for fun in the summer. Did anybody ever read Catcher in the Rye in the summer time? I did. Why?

Some of my blogging buddies have shared their lists too so pop over to see what they are looking forward to reading:
The Red Painted Cottage
Exquisitely Unremarkable
Linking with Sundays at Home   Dishing It & Digging It

  4. I am stuck on James Patterson this Summer. I tend to do that every Summer, find one author and gobble up as many of their books as I can, then I am done!
    Great list though:)

  11. I read, read, read in the summer (read and art and weed the beach. That's summer). This summer I'm working on the Louise Penny and Deborah Crombie mystery series, a couple of books about Paris and if I get bold, big, thick bios of Henry VIIIs six wives and Eleanor and Franklin. And who knows what else because now I'm getting recommendations!

  17. I have a long list that I would like to read but so far the garden has taken most of my time this summer. After I comment here it's out to do more digging as I am enlarging a flower bed :)

  18. This is a great list! I too am reading KariAnne's book and just loving it. I hope you'll do a review of each book. I've been meaning to tell you that I dropped my two aqua French chairs off at Sherri's for slipcovers last week. She was a doll and I thank you so very much for suggesting her. We finally had our new flooring installed last week and just that one project has been all encompassing. We are still cleaning up dust, moving furniture back, etc. It has made me think of you taking on an entire house. :)

  20. I've been grabbing books by Eugenia Price and plan to read them. I want to read them in chronological order. I probably have 15 or hers collected now. She's from Ga., and writes about Savannah, St. Simon's, etc.

    Enjoy your reads!!
