Welcome friends to Thoughts of Home on Thursday #14.
Stacey is your hostess this week. You all knocked our socks off last week with a record breaking number of entries. We can't thank you enough for your support and amazing links.
Inspiration
Su's post at Butterfly Bungalow first appeared to be a decorating post but no, it's a beautiful life lesson. If you read nothing else today, please read this post.
Gardening
BJ's potting area is the cutest thing ever!
Doesn't the bright red toolbox make you want to put on your gloves and get to work?
Decorating
Katie at Let's Add Sprinkles recently shared how her kitchen has changed over the years. Her latest change included a new backsplash which completely elevated the look of the kitchen.
DIY
Part DIY and part craft project, these fun map themed placemats at Pillar Box Blue can be individualized for any family or occasion. If you have the cutest plates ever it doesn't hurt!
Recipes
This Leek and Shiitake saute shared at Make Mine Lemon looks delicious on pizza
but could also be used in several other ways. Sounds great to me.

Hi Stacey...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit today - and the comment you left. Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as baking or cooking something for a neighbor to get some help. You see, most of my neighbors are OLDER than me...and some are LOTS OLDER! The neighbor who helped me when the wall first fell down, injured his arm a month or so ago...and will not be able to even begin using it for several more weeks, if even then. [depends on how it heals] Another neighbor is having knee replacement surgery in a few weeks. I'm one of the YOUNGSTERS here. It's not a Senior Living Community, but most people here couldn't help me much, even if they wanted to. Good idea though!!!
I just do as much as I can, when I can. And I'm really pushing it now...you see, I take medication and while I take it I can not take prolonged sunlight...like NOT even 15 minutes! So, it's got to be cooler so I can wear sleeves...or very, very cloudy - without rain!! It will all get done eventually.
Hugs,
Jan
Hi, Stacey,
ReplyDeleteA little late here... been proctoring Advanced Placement tests as a part-time job in retirement. Work sure gets in the way of having fun. I had to miss Carol's cooking class today. :(
