Can Somebody Spring Clean My Dog?

Sometimes you go along thinking everything's good.
All's right with the world.

Then you put on your glasses and BAM you realize the house is dirty!
I mean D I R T Y.
That's where I am right now.

I'm not bonding with spiders or cleaning up Dr. Pepper but I am battling dog hair and
mud clods on the floor from our current pond project.
Anybody else?

It's spring cleaning time for this girl!
My mom would say this is me below.

Not exactly, but I printed out this very thorough list at Pastels and Macarons to help me keep track. I've got my tunes playing and my Diet Coke iced down.
See ya soon. :)

  3. Spring does seem to bring in a lot of mud and dirt since we are outside working n the yard. Yes, my floors have been getting a little more attention, but Spring is so worth it! :)

  4. I definitely need to get myself back on track, but I think that's going to have to wait a few more weeks. Love when everything is clean and organized! Happy Wednesday!

  5. I battle dog hair year round. They never seem to have an 'off season' when they are not shedding. As for the dirt they bring in daily... sometimes I just give up and go with dirty floors for the day. As I get older it just gets more difficult to keep up. argh!

  7. You are so funny. My house looks really clean until I put on my glasses. Ha! Our golden needed his own staff to keep the swirling fur cleaned up. Sheila

  9. With two dogs I battle their dirt everyday, especially from the larger one. When it rains like it has been lately it's the worse. The the cleaning comes after the weather calms down. I don't stress about it as much anymore, living in the country you just kind of let go of the OCD house cleaning.

  11. No dog hair here, but the pollen seems to sneak into the house and everything is coated with a layer of it! I clean and an hour later it is back!

  12. Ha, ha! Diet Coke and tunes that's how I roll while I clean. Hard for me to believe your home is very dirty at all! :). Wondering what time and day you want the garden link party to start. Carol wants to add it to today's SYC party. Please let me know ASAP.

  15. Ha ha this made me laugh because for a long time I thought my house was much cleaner than it was.....until one day I was cleaning with my reading glasses on!! That's when I started to use glasses every time I cleaned!!

  16. Stacey,
Spring cleaning here, too. I had to take my clothes out of the closet for the AC repairman to cut the hole to repair the duct work. So, now I'm sorting to sell and to give away before putting them back.

One thing always leads to 10 more.

  17. We just got back from our trip and now it's time to go to town. And, I am dreading tackling the pollen on the porches!! YUCK.

  18. So much dust in the air, even after all the rain too-then I decided to rearrange a few things, so you know how one thing leads to another!

  19. Stacey, the pollen has finally left the premises and it is time for a thorough cleaning! I used to love to clean, but not so much anymore!

  24. With all the rain, it's a lost cause around here. I cleaned my kitchen floor then bam! Dirty dogs came in and left muddy streaks on it. Sigh. Same for vacuuming...they need a bath but I can't do it because of my back. Guess they will stay dirty until the weekend. :)

  25. I can relate to that cartoon. I definitely clean year round because I'm a bit compulsive about keeping a clean house. However, there are times that I'm shocked to see what's lurking in the ceilings, corners and behind my furniture. Then, I ask my husband to fire our housekeeper! Ha!

  26. Yes! That is exactly what I've been doing for the past few weeks. I have gathered 10 bags of stuff in the house that I don't need anymore and have given to our church. I changed around and put in new furniture in the basement and given our couch to a neighbor to use and a table to a friend and so on. I'm in the middle of rearranging our guest room too. It never ends spring cleaning. LOL!!
I hope you have a nice day and weekend. :)

  28. See, there are some good things going for vision problems :^)
We fight cat hair around here, but fortunately/unfortunately for me.....I can't see them until there are a LOT!!!
I guess I will have to follow your good example and get busy tomorrow. Company is due on Tuesday....yaay for the company though!
    Blessings to you,
