In Our Kitchen Today

A cute little bird nest rests on a cookbook.
 I don't remember where I bought this one but I ♥ it.

Sophie soaks up the sun and warm breeze on a warm January day.
She and I hate to rub it in but it's 78 degrees here today.

Perfect little cups have a spot in the glass front cabinet.
Thank you Glenda.

Somebody left their keys on the counter.
That same somebody swears he never loses anything and he puts everything away.

  3. 78 degrees in January isn't even on my radar. I wish it was, but I just can't quite wrap my head around it. Lucky duck. Not much happening in the kitchen today, the husband is out there right now making dinner but it's been pretty empty the rest of the day ;>)

  4. Yeppers, it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood!! Princess Posie is basking in the big den window...wishing she could chase the birdies.
Hubby is prone to leaving things where he last used them, so yes....I have a basket on the counter to collect said items :^)
Your cups and nest are sooooo cute!! They are a sure promise of spring!!
Hope things are going well for you!
    Blessings,

  7. What a pretty kitty! :) My kitchen is a mess, full of kids and their stuff, because there is no school...again! 16" of snow and frigid temps has everyone housebound! 78 degrees sounds just dreamy Stacey! Enjoy it!

  8. Holly was doing the same thing today! She got pretty upset when I finally closed the windows. Lol! We were in the 80's today. Wonder what happened to winter? I actually had to turn on the ceiling fan just now. :) Love your little nest and those cups are just darling!

  9. Your cat is so pretty...we used to have one that looked similar. Not much going on in our kitchen today. We grilled hamburgers tonight and made cole slaw to go with them. Hope you're feeling better every day! Hugs Diane

  10. I really loved the birds nest and that lovely tea cup. At the moment, my dishes are all washed, dried and put away. Dinner was wrapped and put in the refrigerator, so all is quiet in my kitchen, at least until tomorrow morning... :)

  12. Cute pics of everyday life...in my case the forgotten keys by hubby are quite normal! Love those cups, they would make me very happy every morning.

78 degrees!!!! Can I fly down for a quick visit for some vitamin D?

Hope you are feeling well. Much love and good karma to you! :)

  13. Hi Stacey, yes we hit 80 here in North Texas today. Loved it but cooler weather is coming back for the rest of the week and weekend with rain. Oh well, we got a taste of spring anyway.
Love your pics and those cups are adorable. Your kitty is so sweet.
Hope you are feeling better and recovering nicely.

  15. I envy your weather! It is about 33 degrees here and cloudy. So in my kitchen this morning I sliced open a juicy grapefruit and I am eating it as I read blogs!

  16. Hi Stacey, joy and tickles has happen in my kitchen today. When the little ones wake up to find mommie. To say good morning mommie. Oh how I would love to be some where today that is 78 degrees. I would be outside, and my windows would be open. This week we will be in the 30's with a winter storm coming. We will find Joy in our day. Enjoy your warm week for all of us.

  17. I too love that nest and those adorable tea cups!!!!

My kitchen is currently in need of someone (?) putting away all the wares that are clean but not yet put away from a birthday dinner celebration for my son last night. Getting right on that....after coffee...

    Hugs!

  19. It's a balmy 36°F here, Stacey! My DH just shoveled 1" of snow off our driveway, so the driveway will dry off & not "ice up" tonight. :) Your birds nest & eggs are so cute!

  20. We just finished lunch. Dennis made vegetables and scrambled eggs for his lunch and I heated up leftover Italian sausage and vegetables in marinara sauce and poured it over cooked zucchini. Delicious! I love the cups, and the bird nest is adorable. I don't want to talk about the weather. Thank you. ;-)

  21. Stacy,
I want to send you a copy of "Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch". You didn't mention the baking degree of 359, but I figure anyone who puts up with noticing the pineapple sherbet deserves a book, too. (And you were the first, besides my daughter.) Please send me an address and I'll try and get it to you before Valentine's Day.
    Thanks,
    JoAnn

  22. Nothing is going on in my kitchen today. The men in my life have been away skiing. It's kinda weird. I eat a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee for breakfast, rinse my dishes, put them in the dishwasher and the kitchen stays clean. The mail has piled up a bit. Luckily, the kitchen will come back to life when they get back tonight :)

  23. If I had those cutie pie cups in my kitchen, I would be completely oblivious even to the scariest snowstorm!

Hope you are well and smiling!

    Have a wonderful week.

  25. Those cherry cups and saucers look just like they belong in your kitchen! They are so pretty!
Believe it or not, I know a "somebody" like you have in your home, who makes some of the same claims. Still smiling at that statement!
