Hello Sunshine :)

In the past few days, I've been on the road to and from my Dad's house.
Traveling the interstate highway isn't always the prettiest way to go
but this year there are miles and miles of sunflowers.

It is stunning to look out and see acres of them all leaning towards the sun.

These sunflowers aren't from the roadside.
They are from my husband and son - a gift on my birthday last week.
Today I wanted to share them with you.

By the way, so many nice people have left comments lately that I've been unable to answer.
No reply blogger is so frustrating.
Even if you don't have a blog you might have that setting.
If you haven't heard from me, know that I love your comments.
They make my day!

  1. Your flowers are lovely, Stacey! I can't even imagine fields full of them, wow, that must be gorgeous. Occasionally, here, I will see a field full of zinnias, that is pretty cool...all those colors! And yes, I am a No Reply Blogger. Silly G+ reverts back to it every 30 days or so~ boo! I get tired of changing it or I forget, so no reply for me...

  4. I hope you had a happy birthday! I stumbled on a field of sunflowers years ago when we lived in IL. It was stunning! Last week my son was going to VBS, everyday I passed this little white house that had a row of sunflowers growing in their back yard. It was so pretty! Maybe I need to try growing some?

Your sunflowers are stunning. I just received a bouquet of sunflowers yesterday and a smile broke out when I spied them on a stool this morning.

  15. You sunflowers brightened my day! Storms are quickly approaching our area of the country, and the dark storm clouds are everywhere. So, seeing the bright yellow beauties and reading your post, added joy to my day. I am sorry that I missed wishing you a "Happy Birthday"! It appears that your husband and son took good care of you.

I also enjoyed the post about your porch and the thoughts you shared on that post too. Sometimes it is more difficult to keep a positive outlook through it all:)
