Friday Evening

Some people go out dancing.

Or to fancy dinners.

He digs holes for me.

So we can plant things on Saturday.

I love him.

Sophie gives moral support from inside the house.

I love her too. :)

Happy Friday Night!

  3. That's true love, Stacey ... and so much better than a bouquet of roses or a box of candy, in my opinion.

    Have fun planting your tree!

  6. I totally understand these words. The love language we each desire is different from another. The "digging holes" concept makes sense to me and believe it or not, it is what speaks to my heart to, when my husband does it. Simple yet powerful post. You are a fortunate lady!

  7. The husband and I are kinda "duddy" and spend a lot of our time off working around the house and yard instead of going out for dinner or a movie. Glad our individual hubbies are such nice guys! :-)

I miss my flowers but I don't miss the work. I just don't think my back would be up to it anymore anyway.

  23. Hi Stacey,

Not all gardening is fun and relaxing. That's the kind of gardening you need a good man to do for you because he can and he wants to! Like you, I have a hubby who works hard to make our grass a little greener! Enjoy!

  29. I'm with you Stacey...gotta love a man that digs holes for you. Seriously, we use to call a visit to Lowes on Friday or Saturday night a fun date.

  30. My husband does a lot for me, but he doesn't dig holes.

It would be fun to read different wedding vowels based on the individuals -
"do you promise to love this person, dig holes for them, dumpster dive when they find the perfect table in a trash can, build shelves in the basement, etc."

Those are just a few of the things bloggers have mentioned their husbands have done for them recently.

  36. It's so wonderful to have a hubby that likes to do things around the house. I'm blessed that way, too. And we can both take pride in our homes, which is nice. I always think of you on the days I stay inside and 'poof the pillows'. Sweet hugs!

  39. That's my kind of day! I love getting dirty in the yard with hubs. Your kitty is darling!
I'd love to see your duvet cover! I love my alabaster lamp, I really wanted to wait until I saw one in person too but I couldn't find any so I took the plunge on ebay and have no regrets. I love it and can't wait to find another. Soon as my latest purchases arrive I will start searching ebay for another. lol
