Don't You Just Adore...

...the way ooky-smooshy-forgotten-black bananas can be transformed
into the most wonderful banana muffins?

Ooky-smooshy is an adjective I just made up. :)

  2. Fresh from the oven with a tidge of butter on them...just absolutely makes the taste buds so happy...makes me want to run to the store - get the bananas and wait until they are past the point of good eating fresh and make some of these delightful muffins.

    Have a great week!

  18. OH Yummy! I make banana bread with my ooky-smooshy -lol.

Usually there is only one banana that goes black - so I toss it in the freezer. No need to wrap the skin acts as a natural wrapper. When I get three in the freezer, I pull them out. Peel them, set them in a strainer over a bowl (they for some reason get watery) and let it drain for a few minutes. Then add to my recipe.

  23. Yummy! I am now craving this since we do have some smooshy bananas. I'll hold back for now and dream.

A lady I used to work with years ago made the best homemade banana bread ever with cream cheese icing. It was so moist and good.
