Taking Time

Taking time to enjoy some simple pleasures today.

A clean house.

Egg salad made in an old bowl.

Iced tea in a pretty glass.

Flowers that are happy for the rain we've had.

Crepe myrtles!

A cool cloudy day.

  12. I think it's always easier to enjoy the simple pleasures with a clean house. This is a lovely, feel good post. I particularly like the glass of ice tea. It looks so refreshing and I like the addition of the orange.

    Enjoy your day.

  13. My kitchen is cluttered right now. Sewing, painting etc. But I know it is not dirty. I think the word for me is orderly, which it is not. I love your pics and the stories.

  17. That's about where I am today. I've clomped all over doing errands in the steel boot and now I'm just enjoying the day. I often think of you when I see my red geraniums out back. They've finally started to recover from the immense heat. Thank goodness for the last few days of cooler weather. However from last nights storm we have a huge tree down in the street farther down the cul de sac! It was a hum dinger, but we didn't lose power in our house.

  19. I've had the same kind of day except for the CLEAN house. I need to work on that...maybe tomorrow.:)
I just took a photo of the wonderful rain we are having today, after it being so dry.
We have so enjoyed this rainy day and I am on a caffine high because I have had way too many cups of delicious tea. Hot tea just goes with rain!!

  21. Aaaah... the simple pleasures are always the best... I had those bowls too! Ok, I've never seen an orange in iced tea before! I think I'll have to try it because I really don't like lemon in my tea. :-) sue
