Spring Metamorphosis

Welcome all of you who are making the rounds for Metamorphosis Monday!

We've had a beautiful weekend here in Oklahoma. We worked in our yard all day Sunday. At the last minute I begged my husband to run to the nursery with me.

I'm cheating the season just a little with my garden cart. The picture above is my front porch before...

This is the porch after!! Red geraniums are my absolute favorite annual.

I usually cheat the cold weather with my garden cart on wheels. I can bring it in and out at night if needed. This gives us a pretty welcome for visitors. The porch won't stay this way throughout the Summer but for now it's just perfect.

Thank you for stopping by today. I do hope it's Springy where you are.

  1. We DID have gorgeous weather today didn't we?!?! We cleaned out the garage today....YAY...it looks so much better and my car can EASILY park inside again. Before I was having to squeeze in and out.

I LOVE your little cart with the geraniums. It is perfect being on wheels so it can come in and out easily....cause as you know in OK you never know WHAT the weather might be!

  5. Red geraniums are my favs too! Love the cart. May have to copy you. Your entryway is just lovely.

Has been cold and rainy here in Northeast Texas, but clear and sunny skies are in the forecast for tomorrow. Can't wait. Had surgery on Friday and I am so ready to go outside and take a walk.

  10. Nice to have those wheels since the weather is so unpredictable this time of year. Cool and rainy here today. Supposed to be 71 tomorrow.

  11. I love red geraniums and usually plant them as well -- but since I don'thave a cart, never this early -- I'd smile as I drove past your house and saw the flowers.

  23. Gorgeous weekend and Monday here is SE Michigan with a high of 65* tomorrow. If I disappear from blogland, I will be outside doing a happy dance. Shall I save a spot for you? ;)

  24. Red cart ~ red flowers! Just perfect! Regarding my red re-do, I am not certain where it will hang now ... it had been outside, thus the wear and tear. I might just hang it indoors for a while.

  25. Stacey: Love the transformation! I am so ready for spring too! I love your blog and want to add you to my blog list, but I can't find the little thingy to be a follower. I am new at this, so I am assuming that I am blind! lol

  28. Looks great! Are your geraniums annuals because they die in the winter, or because you don't plant them in the ground? Here in southern California, geraniums are perennials if you put them in the ground ... my mother in law's gardener stuck one small one in a few years ago, and it bushed out to at least 6 feet wide and reached up to the raingutters on the roof, whew!

  29. Stacey, your porch is so pretty! How I wish mine was as big as yours. I could use some urns on my porch. Might just have to ask for some on Mother's Day! Red Geraniums are the best...

  33. Red geraniums are one of my favorite flowers too! How fun that you have a cart you can wheel in and out. I saw geraniums at Lowes this past weekend and I was so tempted to buy them. But I would have to lug heavy pots in and out!

  34. What a quick and cheerful transformation!

  35. Aren't you smart? Love your cart with the geraniums, but how great to be able to wheel it inside if temps. get low. laurie

  37. Hi Stacey,
I am a new blogger; this is my 2nd Met Monday. I am making the rounds, enjoying the wonderful sites along the way. You have beautiful design skills, but more important a kind, generous nature. I was touched you shared your husband’s eye condition in the effort to help others! Wishing you and your family the best, and I appreciate your touch of spring from where I sit in snow country! Cathy
