Help me please! Yesterday my computer was invaded by some pop up craziness. I have seen boobies and bobos galore - and I don't want to see them!!!
I have updated Norton Antivius...the pop-up blocker on Windows is on the highest setting...I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! The keyboard barely works! The protection on the computer says that everything is working correctly. They lie.
Anybody have an idea?
Sorry Stacey...I'm a complete computer doofus! ;-) Bo
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem a couple months ago. i am not very computer savy so i had to call Dell and the service rep had to download a virus protector for me. I lost all my info but it worked. It is a virus, so you have to do something. mishelle
ReplyDeleteStacey, we have many such computer problems. I hate pop-ups! We have AOL and hear that that is part of the problem. Wish I could be more help. Twyla
ReplyDeleteOh girl! I'm sorry and I have no idea how to help you. Is your pop up blocker turned on? Sorry...I wish I could help you out on this one.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely no ideas. How awful! Call Norton pronto. Jackie
ReplyDeleteOh boy! Stacey that is funny how you described it though. I hope it gets fixed soon. I'm terrible at computers. My husband is still helping me to post. Yikes! Thanks for checking out my red tree. I do appreciate your kindness as always. ~Melissa :)
ReplyDeletehaha the picture u put up for this post is perfect!!! pop ups are really annoying!
ReplyDeleteYikes! Sounds like a virus to me too...
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled on your blog - another Oklahoman, yea! Enjoyed my visit - will be back, and please come see me if you have a chance!
ReplyDeleteIf my son was here he could probably tell you what to do. When he gets off work later I'll give him a call. Wish I was a computer expert, I do well just to point & click! :>)

Oh, Stacey, I'm so sorry!! I don't know how to help you!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie and I hope the boobies and bobos are gone soon!!
Shelia ;)
No, I don't know how to help you! I'd call in a good computer person. Mine told me to stop using Internet Explorer and go to Mozilla Firefox when mine got invaded by spyware recently. Can download it free. And he put some other things on it that I can't recall at the moment. Techie stuff.

Ugh! What a nightmare! I wish I had the magic answer but I havent a clue. That scares me so much and I hear about that kind of stuff and it happens often. Im sure I will get it one day too. Good luck and I hope you find your answers
ReplyDeleteOh Gosh! I wish I could help, but I am so computer illiterate! Your horror picture certainly got my attention though. laurie
ReplyDeleteI'm no help. Tonight everytime I type a site name, I go to a Bible website in India or Israel or wherever? Huh??...The same site all the time. I simply must buy a computer handbook and read it one day:)
ReplyDeleteOh Stacy, I am so sorry. I usually panic when I have computer problems. So I am no help.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are having to deal with that! One thing you can do is log on and chat (like instant messaging) with someone from Norton and ask them what to do. I've done that before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comments on the flowers :)
Oh Stacey,
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing. Computers are so great as long as they are working well. Pop ups can be soooo annoying. When I have that problem, I always have to wait for my son to come home from college to fix it or sometimes my hubby has the patience and know-how to get it working again. I love to be on the computer, but, unfortunately, I am terrible at knowing how it all works! Have a good weekend. Amy
Hope your computer is working better. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteComputers are trying at times but we have come to rely on them for so many things. I get upset too if I'm having problems. Hope you get this resolved soon.
ReplyDeleteTake care, DebraK
Oh gosh. Bobos? I'm so sorry. I am a complete computer dumby, always having to call the Geek Squad. Here lately I've been yelling "I want a Mac!"
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry but I have no idea how to fix it! I would have to call one of those Computer Doctors or something...you know, the Geek Squad? I hope you figure it out!

Stacey,
ReplyDeleteGo here. It is freeware on CNET. It will remove an horrible malware virus. Just follow the instructions they give. These scumbags make viruses now that even our antivirus programs cannot remove. Now we need malware removers. I wish these folks would find "real" jobs. They are obviously very smart and could find nice things to do for the world. :-P
I hope the helps.
