A Sweet Award from a Sweet Person

Daphine presented me with this Marie Antoinette award earlier this week. It's for "Keepin' it Real". Now let me tell you about real...I was honest with her and told her that doggies will pee pee in the house sometimes. We love our doggies anyway. I guess she still likes me. :)

(This is 14 year old Molly. She's oh so sweet but we have to watch her like a hawk, if you know what I mean.)

Daphine I sure have enjoyed getting to know you!! When you choose your puppy you will be very happy.

I am choosing not to pass this on. It's incredibly hard to single people out. If I'm visiting you regularly I consider you a friend and someone who is "Keepin it Real".

And speaking of real, I will admit now that I know nothing about Marie Antoinette. Guess I better do some research.

EDIT: I'm back again to say that I'm so mortified that I'm brutally honest about my little dog. We love her! Because of her I have ALL wood floors.

  1. Morning, Stacey and congrats on your award! Well, you'll just have to go and rent some movies about Marie. The newest one with Kirsten Dunz (don't know how to spell her name!) is a little fluffy. But if can get your hands on some of the older ones, you'll learn about her.
Poor little Molly, what a sweet face! I do know what you mean. As our doggies get older they just can't help it, can they?
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  5. Hi Stacey,
Your dog is so cute. We've never had an indoor dog, always yard dogs. We have a 17 year old cat who's starting to make mistakes here & there.
    Have a great day!

  9. Stacey,
Oh my gosh, is that a mini doxie? I couldn't tell from the photo. I have a 9-year-old mini, who looks so much like your dog, and while he is pretty good going outside, he forgets (and doxies have really small bladders), so we even have put little doggie diapers on him at times. I know, I am soooo embarrassed to admit it! We love them though don't we? LOL! Amy :)

  10. You don't need to keep it real to get an award, congrats. With three Old English Sheepdogs, we are always on the lookout for when they sneak off. You rock!!!

  11. You so deserve it lady!

You had me laughing REALLY hard just now though with you comments and picture of your dog! I have so enjoyed getting to know you better too!

Dirk is still researching the dog, but since there's not a perfect dog...we're having a tough time deciding. lol
    I'll keep you posted though.

    Thanks for keepin it real!

  13. Congrats on the award! And yeah, I think everyone with a pet needs wood floors. I have ONE rug in the house, and whenever Mabel needs to barf... she runs right to that rug.

  14. No reason to feel mortified at all. I just had my floors changed out for the same reason. I don't like cleaning up pee, but I love my dogs. Wouldn't trade them for the world. Comes with the territory. So does the occasional bouts of diarrhea!
