Welcoming Spring to Our Home

Welcome friends old and new to a peek at spring in our home.   If you are popping over from
Follow The Yellow Brick Home, I want to say Hi Y'all in my best Texas accent. I also have to say thank you to Amber for organizing this blog tour with a total of ten very nice and talented bloggers.

Since moving into our Forever Home on June 24th of last summer, I have been decorating and making our new home feel cozy and loved. As many of you know, I have completely changed color schemes from our previous home so this has definitely been a process but it sure has been fun! The bonus right now is that our color scheme of robin's egg blue, gray, pink and lots of white is perfection for spring and summer. In fact I think it's safe to say that we are in a perpetual spring here.

I began preparing for this tour by gathering some beautiful items to set a table in our dining room. We'll be using my husband's grandmother's Limoge china which was passed down to us. That china mixed with a few springy elements is so pretty together. We are very casual people and rarely pull out our china even though we have more than one set. We do have friends coming for burgers Friday night so we'll be a little bit fancy and a little bit casual.

No spring tour would be complete without fresh flowers and these beauties from the grocery store are currently sprinkled all around the house.

Our floor plan is wide open. When you walk in our front door you can see the dining room, family room, kitchen and eating area all at once. We love it! Just a few feet from the dining room is our family room which centers around a large rug. We recently got this new Lee Industries swivel chair and I have to say it's just perfect for an open space. You can turn any which way you'd like!

Opposite the blue swivel chair the truth comes out. We are matching leather recliner people! Oh my....we want our home to be pretty but comfortable too. Do you notice that there's nothing on the round table? That's my husband's spot. It's usually covered with an Ipad, a baseball cap, earphones, a magazine, and sometimes a snack. Just keeping it real....he doesn't like decor on his table so I go with it.

Our kitchen has open shelving on one wall which I am having so much fun changing up every few weeks. If you ever ponder whether or not to do open shelves, don't worry about the dust. Just go for it! If you'd like a closer look at our kitchen you can go here.

That about wraps it up for me! Be sure to head to Debra's home at Common Ground. If you've been reading blogs long, you know that Debra makes everything beautiful! The Hop Into Spring blog hop is taking place Wednesday and Thursday, March 14th and 15th. Thank you so much to Amber at Follow The Yellow Brick Home for organizing us.

I love your aqua door! And gorgeous table. You DID bring in spring. I have to say, though, that if I had open kitchen shelving I would probably tie from the Tupperware avalanche. Which I experience frequently even with closed doors!

Oh, Stacy, our homes must be much alike. We built and moved into our "forever home" August of 2016 and it has the open concept as well. When you walk in our front door there in the dining room, the two living areas and the kitchen in clear view. We love it! And, I went with a totally different color scheme as well and have had such fun decorating. Your home is just beautiful and so warm and welcoming.

You have a beautiful eye for details and color. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

Hi Stacey, wow know what? I have the same table as you do.....figures, we got great taste...LOL....I ordered mine on OVERSTOCK and when it came the white wash was heavier than pictured and the white was too much for the rest of my decor, but I loved the table so much so I figured I try to wash down some of the white. I took a spungie thingie and started scrubbing for 2 evenings straight. Then I made sure to prime it with a clear coat. I love love love the table, it's so heavy and solid. Now with your decor the white is perfect of course, looks like it belongs in a magazine....Anywise here is a link to mine if you want to snoop:
