Pearls Are Always A Perfect Idea

Happy Saturday Friends!  It's February 10th already and I'm here today to share a Ten on the 10th idea with a little fashion flair!

Fashion is a funny word to me because when we say the word we often picture runway models and women who wear things that do not relate to real world style. I love clothes yet my outfits revolve around jeans almost every day of the week. How about you? We live in a pretty casual world but to me, there's nothing cuter than a jeans outfit done well. I'm in love with all the embellished jeans that are out there this year and the ones with pearls caught my eye. This pair on the Nordstrom website has had my attention and with a little thought I realized this would be so easy to do!

I popped over to Hobby Lobby and bought two packages of pearls at half price so together they were about $2.50. I bought the pearl/sequin ones you see also but decided not to use them. What could I put those on?

These pearls have button holes on the back. With my needle and thread and less than one hour while watching tv, I sewed 10 pearls on a pair of jeans I already owned. The pattern is random but they are similarly spaced. I considered making a professional video to show you how to do this but honestly, it's just like sewing a button on. :)

Two dollars and fifty cents for my pair of embellished pearl jeans. Not bad! Here's another outfit that will be cute with the same jeans...

Would you give this a try? I'm considering sewing fringe to the bottom of another pair of jeans. I can picture them now with the perfect sandals and painted toes.

I hope you will pop over to visit my creative blogging friends for Ten on the 10th. We are a dynamic group with lots of different ideas all under $10. 00.

I have seen pearls everywhere lately! A friend of mine had them sewn on a sweat shirt. So adorable! I love them. Between you and Jemma, I have the perfect projects for tomorrows cold weather. P.S. I'm in love with your shoes!

Those are really cute, Stacy. What a great way to dress up a pair of jeans -- or anything, for that matter!

Pearls are my absolute favorite...over diamonds or any gems.
Really cute on the jeans

Pearls are my favorite accessory. I think they are classic and they look just art way on your jeans, as well. My daughter just came home with a pair of pearl embellished jeans. They are absolutely adorable, but you can bet that even on the clearance rack they were way, way more than $2.50. You did good. ❤️

WOW I love the pearl and jeans idea--I like how you think about embellishing jeans. I've been sewing this week and I must just have to re-think my jeans.

I'm a little late with this response, but it was a cute idea. Like you I wear mostly jeans and yoga pants around the house. This is feeling great to me because I recently retired and before I retired I had to wear business clothes. Can't wait for the weather to warm a little so I don't have to cover up so much and wear boots all the time, but I agree with you that jeans dressed up always look great!

Stacey this is such a fun way to add some pearls to your outfit. I had no idea this was in style now. It is so pretty and elegant but casual all at the same time.

Girl, I had no idea that pearl embellished jeans were a thing! I need to get out more. Luckily, I have you to teach me a few things!

Great idea, Stacey! I'm loving jeans like these, and some that are a bit torn, but have a backing. I think more about stylish these days. I wear jeans mostly on days when I'm out and about. At home I like yoga pants-something that's looser and comfy. A cute T shirt or hoodie makes them pretty cool!

Love the pearls on your jeans, and that makes for such a cute outfit! I've been thinking about adding some bling to the back pockets of my jeans....I adore the look, but I'm not sure I want to call attention to that particular part of my body! Still, you've inspired me to add something fun to my everyday-wear!

Warm hugs,
Carol
