First Friday Home Tour Featuring Jane at Home

Happy Friday Friends! It seems like ages since the last First Friday Home Tour! I'm excited to be back today to share the lovely home of Jane who blogs at Jane at Home.  Jane has a gorgeous home that she shares with her husband and her cute dog, Baxter.  I recently discovered her blog and have been loving the appealing use of deep blue mixed with lots of white in her decor. In the past year, Jane has been updating several features of her home and I think you'll enjoy seeing those.

Here's a little of what Jane has to say:

My husband Dave and I were high school sweethearts and recently celebrated our 35th anniversary by taking a long-dreamed-of trip to Paris and Italy. We have two married daughters, two granddaughters, and another grandbaby due this spring. Another important member of our family is our English bulldog, Baxter, who often makes an appearance in my photos. I love animals and always have a furry friend or two sharing our home.

I also love to entertain and it's important to me that people feel welcome when they visit our home. As empty nesters we enjoy a pretty laid-back, relaxed lifestyle, and our home reflects this time in our lives.

Last year, we painted all of the walls and ceilings in our home white and also added picture frame molding to the walls in several rooms. Just making these changes created an entirely new look and feel in our home. As you can see, I love using blue and white throughout our home.

I'm also enjoying adding a bit of a coastal vibe to our home, probably because my husband and I love the Charleston, SC area and plan to move there when we retire.

My home is always evolving right along with me, so you never know what it will look like from week-to-week! I believe if you surround yourself with things you love, it makes everything in life better!

Jane mentioned a few things that I can relate to and I know you can too. When you pop over to visit Jane at Home, you'll see that she writes on a variety of subjects of interest to many of us. Beautiful decor is what caught my eye to begin with; however, Jane shares delicious recipes that are light and healthy too.

Thank you for stopping by today for a peek of Jane's charming home. I hope you'll leave a sweet comment for her and be sure to pop over to her blog or Instagram.

Such a lovely home! Very cool and serene. It reminded me of my son and daughter in law's home as they love the same white, grey and blue color scheme and modern style furniture.

What a lovely, peaceful home! How did you manage to make such bright, dark rugs feel peaceful? Was it by incorporating other dark pieces in the pillows and curtains and only having two colors? Anything else? May I ask where you got them, especially the navy oriental rug? Have a lovely day!!

Jane's home is beautiful; it looks professionally done, like a house in a magazine! I'll never aspire to that, but I can appreciate all the effort that has gone into it!

Oh, my gosh - Jane's home is amazing, Stacey! WOW!!!!!

Well if they ever do retire to Charleston, they're set - that blue and white will go to the ocean beautifully!

Another amazing home tour - wow.
