Home Tour Featuring The Nest at Finch Rest

Welcome friends to this month's First Friday Home Tour featuring Michele's beautiful home in north Columbus, OH, The Nest at Finch Rest. You are in for a fall treat! Michele's home is decorated in colors that welcome you in this time of year.  I'll let Michele tell you a little about her home.

HI! My name is Michele and I am so thrilled to share the part of our home that is decorated for autumn with Stacey at Poofing the Pillows. I am honored to be here.

I am a 50-something empty nester who is now a first-time Grandma! Our little 15 month-old grand daughter has stolen our hearts! We also have a very sweet grand dog. We have two beautiful grown daughters and two wonderful sons-in-law who finally live near us and we try to spend as many happy hours together as possible.

I took early retirement quite a few years ago and have been enjoying home decorating, card making, tea party hosting, singing in choir and novice gardening ever since.  This is our forever house (to coin Stacey's term) and we have a lot of plans for it as time, money and energy provide. We're halfway through our goals.....saving the truly big renovations till last. Since we've moved here we've planted over 40 trees on our nearly 2 acres, put in all new landscaping, put on a new roof, put in all new flooring, granite in kitchen, all new windows and had two new doors installed in both front and back.

If you visit Michele's pretty blog you'll see that she has a love of homegardening, tablescapes....

A visit to The Nest at Finch Rest reminds me of a time spent in the pages of Romantic Homes or something really special like that. I enjoy my time there and I know you will too. :)

Thank you Michele for allowing me to feature your beautiful, sweet home.

Happy Friday Stacey. I love Michele and her sweet home. Her grand daughter was born just around the same time as your second granddaughter Charlotte was born. It was so fun to see how excited she was to become a grandma!!!! Great feature today.

Kris

I was so anxious to get the grand tour of this gorgeous home this morning. Michele is a special friend of mine and now I think I could learn a lot more from her by looking at her rooms. I need to get rid of things in my home, I think....make it simpler. I love how clean and tidy everything is and keep scrolling back through the pics. LOVE the special pillows she's used to bring in the season. Thanks Stacey and Michele! Hugs!

Oh I love Michele's home almost as much as I love her! It is so pretty and how nice to know you are in your 'forever home' so everything doesn't have to be done at once so you can sell.

I don't know WHY I haven't read your blog, Stacey. Mistake on my part. I am your newest follower and will put you on my sidebar so I don't miss any posts (I read from there).

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and this was a GREAT feature. Hugs- Diana

What a treat it was to visit Michele's lovely home, Stacey! Michele and I were able to meet last June 30th, when my sister and I took my mom to eat for her birthday. Michele came and met us and even brought my mom a present that she had made. I hope to one day go to her home when I get back to Ohio. She's such a dear , sweet friend, and we often will text each other. Thanks for sharing her home with us.
