Hello December!

Good morning friends!

Didn't mean to drop off the scene but then again it happens to me every year!
I love every single bit of Christmas but I'm not as speedy and with it as some.
Things are far from perfect here and that's ok.

Christmas is for J O Y!

I'm taking my time, digging through boxes, and bringing out little bits of Christmas here and there. We are ordering pizza and watching Gilmore Girls. We are staring at the twinkle lights and marveling at the ornaments that our kids made when they were tiny. No perfection...just joy.

I'll be back soon with pictures of our imperfect Christmas
Please visit tomorrow for an absolutely amazing First Friday Home Tour. :)

I'm right there with you Stacey, the decorations are coming out slowly this year in spite of my intention to start early. I always love seeing what you do, imperfect or not!

Hi Stacey! Enjoy your Christmasing! I'm kinda slow this year and just doing little bits her and there! I know your home will look beautiful. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I am right there with you. You and I are in the same situation. Living in a temporary home, half packed stuff....lol. But it is the spirit of the season that brings joy to my heart.

I'm digging through boxes also trying to find my decorations! It's frustrating trying to remember where I packed things from last year...LOL. Love the touches so far! Love and hugs!

I've been moving slower than usual this year, too, and putting out less...only the special stuff. I want to enjoy my time rather than spend the majority of it setting up and breaking down...

I have pumpkins and fall wreaths in one corner of my bedroom and a Christmas tree and Santas in the other corner...I don't know what's wrong with me...I guess it COULD be that AGE is making me move so dang slow...New Year's Eve, I will be 79 and just thinking of it is sending me back to bed....O, not really...I am so totally blessed to be in such good health and independent at this age...Mr. Sweet says "we're in good shape for the shape we're in.." LOL

I'm with you Stacey! I have some paid Christmas decorating jobs that I have to complete before I start on the house so I will be much slower than my blogging friends. I haven't taken time to watch all of Gilmore girls yet, just peeked at a scene here and there and I can't wait to see the rest!!

Good Morning!
I really didn't get to decorate last year as we were moving into our new home about 10 days before Christmas. So I must say that I went a little crazy this year:) But a little crazy is good...right??!

It's always good to savor the season! I just finished up my decor. Thinking I need to eliminate some of the excess. čśŐ I love looking at the things my kids made too. Sweet memories!
Hope you have a good weekend, Stacey!

Merry Christmas Stacey. We are all on different speeds regarding Christmas decorating. I think you have a lot on your plates. Take your time and enjoy the season.

Happy Decorating Stacey. I am right there with you. My motto this year is less is more and nothing is perfect in my decor. Makes me happy and relaxed. Enjoy.

I am with you! Not much to blog about or the time to do it trying to get the house decorated. I am trying not to feel like it is a chore but am overwhelmed with how much stuff I have!! You are right....it is about JOY!! I actually bought a new Joy sign. Maybe I will do a post about my d├ęcor too! Merry Christmas!

Hi Stacey! :)
I'm pretty much done decorating now...downsizing to this home has meant downsizing my massive Christmas d├ęcor collection...so it was all a bit easier this time around! ;)
I just love this holiday the most...and everything that goes along with it!
Wishing you a wonderful rest of your week! Hugs, Kimberley

Those handmade ornaments are pretty much the most important of all!

I'm nearly done with decorating and starting to post it all! I'll wait till Rick's back from his business trip to do the big tree and just finishing off the bedroom. It's hard to get the blog done AND the decorating! But I'm hard-core committed to both -- it's the best season!

Stacey, I'd much rather be happy and joyful than rushing around like a crazy woman attempting the "perfect" look. I just can't get into it this year but that's ok too. I am anxious to see your tour!
