On a Haven Conference High

Little did I know a few months ago when my friend Jemma asked if I'd go to the
Haven Conference in Atlanta that I'd have the time of my life!

Haven Conference 2016, Haven Conference, Haven, DIY conference

It was somewhat intimidating to board a plane and fly to Atlanta where 350-400 home and DIY bloggers gather each year. We did it though and it was amazing!

Haven Conference 2016, Haven Conference, Haven, bloggers conference, blogging

The Haven Conference is a gathering for bloggers to learn, network and be inspired.
We attended social networking classes, painting classes, branding classes, classes on
tablescaping and two different photography classes.
We learned that we love parts of this business and don't love other parts.

Haven 2016, Haven Conference, Haven, blogging conference, blogging, DIY, Matthew Mead, tablescapes
We spent time with Matthew Mead in a tablescaping class and the beauty was overwhelming!
We made new friends.
Haven 2016, Haven Conference, Haven, blogging, blogging conference, Matthew Mead
And somebody might have developed a crush on Matthew.

I think we kept a few people smiling with the videos we shared on Instagram.

Haven Conference 2016, Haven Conference, Haven, blogging conference, bloggers conference, swag, swagbag

We learned about concrete, paint, locks, Kreg jigs and all kinds of things for DIY projects.
We brought home tons of swag.  Thank you so much to the sponsors for that!!

Haven Conference 2016, Haven Conference, Haven, blogging, bloggers conference, blog conference, swag, sponsors and swag bags

We got dressed up and danced the night away at the Saturday Soiree.
We had fun and would love to go again next year!!  Bloggers, if you've ever considered Haven but were scared....come with us next year. You can sit with us. :)

Haven 2017 here we come.

I'm still gathering up pictures and will share on Facebook.

Yes, I'm still on a "Haven high"! It was a great conference and so good to spend time with you both. And to others reading this: They mean it when they say "sit with us". I was alone at Haven Friday morning and Stacey and Jemma didn't hesitate to say "Hang out with us".

I would love to hear more about it. I never thought of going because I don't know the "big girls" who always talk about it. I'm not saying you're not a "big girl", but it would be fun to be there with you.

Hi Stacey!
What a fabulous experience for you both! Haven sounds like a dream come true for bloggers as talented as you and Jemma. I'm sure you learned a lot and had a good time.
I know Atlanta is a fun town--my husband's last work convention, before he retired, was held in Atlanta and I went along and had a wonderful time there seeing the sights.

Stacey, how did we ALL not end up with our photo together? Next year we'll get one of all of us. When I look at all the photos everyone took, I keep asking myself, why didn't I take a photo of that? My mind was too much in overdrive is what I'm thinking. Matthew Mead was awesome! I was in his other class.
