Adding Layers to Make the Entry Lovely

Girls love to layer things.  Right?

Adding layers to make the spring entry way pretty. Poofing the Pillows.

I like to layer clothes and jewelry.  I love layered cakes and pies. Layers of pillows? Well, of course!

Here's a confession for you. Our entry table has been sitting rather naked for a few weeks.
It's one of those spots that we walk past many times per day and I don't pay much attention.
I've said that before about this spot...

The other day found this image by Mandy Lynne in a desk drawer. I had completely forgotten about it because it came in an odd size and I wasn't sure what to do about it.  So on this day I went to  Michael's and spotted the shadow box you see in the picture on sale for half price. Score! The flowers were also half price and I think I spent $6.00 on them.  The flowers kind of echo the art. ♥

Below you can see the progression of the layers.
The pretty art is called Special Delivery. I adore the soft, ethereal quality it has.

I'm completely in love with this spot now.

The entry is pretty now with its simple layers.
Kind of like a putting on a necklace with a t-shirt.

I love this and the idea of a print in a shadow box. It just gives it more weight and the flowers are perfect.

Stacey,
You found just the right flowers to go with the colors in the shadowbox print. Such a nice arrangement that really could last all summer...

Love your layers. The pretty flowers, along with the lamp and books make a great vignette. Even the little matched matches.

Very pretty. Such a pretty picture and the flowers do go with it perfectly. I like how you used the shadow box too - it would be easy to change out your artwork whenever you like.

Looks so pretty! The flowers are just perfect with the print. Love the lamp! Is that a recent purchase? I have to confess, I have a lamp addiction! If I had a house, I'd have you over to decorate. :)
