Biscuits Can Win His Heart!

We all have our secret ways...the ones that we know will please our mates.
Sometimes they are small habits or yummy foods that make them feel loved.

This simple recipe is one of my secrets.
Honestly, I could serve Smoked Shoe Heel and my husband would be happy as long as
these biscuits come with it. :)

This only takes 3 simple ingredients that I bet you have in your kitchen.
Five minutes prep time and bake.

I have no idea the origin of this recipe but I'm guessing it was a Bisquick box.
In my humble opinion, the recipes on boxes and jars are often the best.

The biscuits come out golden and delicious.
And seriously, with butter and sour cream - they just melt in your mouth.
These are so wonderful you can serve them to company any day of the week.

Do you have a secret recipe that's always a winner?

I love the idea of the addition of sour cream. On more than one occasion I didn;t make biscuits because I was low on milk. This is brilliant!

Sounds like a good recipe. I am going to share a secret. When we first got married I could not make biscuits. Hubby called them hockey pucks. He learned to make the best biscuits when he worked at a diner when he was young so he is the one that makes the biscuits in our house. After years of experimenting I can make good biscuits too, but only my Mom knew it. I want Hubby to always think that is he the only one that makes good biscuits in our home. HA! HA!

For years I made biscuits using Bisquick, but now just buy the frozen ones. For just one or two people, it's easy to take a few out of the freezer. I love the addition of sour cream in your biscuit recipe and will remember this recipe the next time I make biscuits for a crowd.

I love being part of new beginnings. They always bring renewed vitality to living. Botanic Bleu will be part of the new TOHOT, but probably not right at 6 a.m. I am not a morning person, unless you count 2 a.m.
Sending you all good vibrations for a great first TOHOT.

See you tomorrow on the blog, but will miss celebrating with you all in person in McKinney.

Hot biscuits with butter sound so dreamy! Thanks for the recipe :)

I'm totally making these! I have all the ingredients on hand already. :) I always use parchment paper (so I don't have to grease the pan) when baking biscuits, cookies, etc. Do you think I could just line the cookie sheet with parchment paper instead of greasing the pan?

Hi Stacey,
I love that these are called Magic Biscuits! :)
This recipe looks so simple and yummy! And you are right, things that we would have on hand! I am going to try these on the weekend!
I have a few tried and true recipes that work every time, ones that are not complicated either.
Happy almost weekend! Hugs, Kimberley

I use Bisquick too and often use buttermilk. That or sour cream makes them so delish! Sometimes I roll them out and cut with decorative cutters for a special breakfast or brunch.
