Top 5 Posts 2015 Poofing the Pillows

In blogging tradition, it's time to share the top posts or projects of the year.
This has been such a fun year for me!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and leaving your kind messages.
Thank you for coming back often and for always sharing your encouraging words.

Let's get to it!

The One Room Challenge was exciting to participate in.
Our guest room project was really a fluff and finish project but it was more difficult than I expected.
Doing a project like this on a timeline requires discipline and planning and when it comes to decorating...that's not something normal for me. Plus, when you participate in this you are in the company of real designers. Yikes! Talk about intimidating.

A Quick Tour of Our House has been a popular post.
Many of you leave me comments and ask to see larger room shots...that's a goal of mine
in 2016. Large room shots require better photography skills and I'm working on that. :)

June in our Yard garnered lots of attention. I appreciate this so much because gardening is my favorite! We do have a small yard at this house but making and keeping it pretty is fun.

Tina's Cherry Hill Cottage is delightful and y'all visited that post many times.
Tina has been blogging a long time and each and every post of hers is beyond adorable.
Be sure to visit her.

This Summer to Fall Door Decor has been visited and pinned many times.
The door basket was inspired by a pin on Pinterest that I loved and just happened to
have everything on hand already.Took 10 minutes to put this together and I love it.

The highlight of the year was meeting lots of blogging friends at a luncheon hosted by
Laura at Decor to Adore. It was like gathering with old friends and having cookies. What more could you want?

I have big plans for Poofing the Pillows and can't wait for 2016.

A Snippet of Christmas in Texas

Hi friends. Looking back today at Day 5 of the Christmas in Texas home tour.
Why? Well yesterday I got to meet two of these girls and it was so much fun!

Several of us attended a luncheon and cookie exchange at Laura's house. Her home is every bit as pretty as the pictures portray and she's the hostess with the mostest!

Lisa of Hospitable Pursuits was also there and it was so much fun to meet her finally.
Lisa and I have been chatting for years so to meet her in person was extra sweet.

At Home with Jemma                                             Opulent Cottage

Jemma and Andrea didn't get to come and we sure missed them!

I will be showing more snippets of the home tour in the coming days.
Working with my Texas friends for that project was the blogging highlight of the year for me. :)

The Prayer

For you today because I love this song and want to share it. :)

Christmas in Texas Day 5 - Last But Definitely Not Least!

Today is the fifth day and I continue to be excited by each click of the mouse. Have you ever wondered what Christmas time might be like here? Well some years we have snow but this year our AC is till running at full speed and my flowers are still blooming on the patio.
Inside it's all jingle bells and hot chocolate. :)

Jingle on over and visit these blogs:

Andrea at Opulent Cottage  has major skills decorating with color. I love everything she does and some day I'm going to sneak in and take that mirror above the fireplace.
Andrea has tons of energy and she's super busy so maybe she won't miss the mirror.

Next  we are featuring Laura at Decor to Adore.
Laura is one of our newest Texas friends and she has truly transformed Storybook Cottage.
You must go visit her because her color scheme will knock your socks off.

Lisa at Hospitable Pursuits is one of my oldest blogging friends and even though we haven't met in person, I know we are kindred spirits. She and her husband recently moved from their long time home and are working on the next phase of life.

Bless her heart! Let me say that first. She has been in the process of building a house and if I'm not mistaken she's moving in today!  I can't wait to see what comes next for her.

Did you miss part of the tour?

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following along with us and for all the kind and encouraging comments you've left for each of us.

Christmas in Texas Blog Hop Part 4

Welcome back and Happy Thursday. :)
Without a doubt the best part of this blog hop has been the behind the scenes conversations with all my Texas friends. One of the ladies in today's group lives right here in my little town. I wonder if you could guess who?

Christmas in Texas Blog Hop Poofing the Pillows

Want to read A Texas Love Story?
You will adore her south Texas home and cottage style.

I hope you'll visit  Eilis @ My Heart Lives Here to see her
beautiful french country home.
She has an amazing outdoor space too that you don't want to miss while you are there.

Linda is a very talented painter and you will be amazed by all that she does in a day!
She has quadruplet grandkids!! Can you imagine?

I could shake a magic wand and make it happen.
Her south Texas home is amazing and the girl knows how to garden.

She's always working on a project and single handedly took on scraping her popcorn ceilings.
You have to go visit her because she's a great decorator and there's
often a neat story to go along with her projects.

Last but not least today is the talented Kathryn from The Dedicated House.
Kathryn is a very busy blogger hosting linky parties with ease. You must go see the house she moved into last year. When you get to know her, you'll quickly realize that she's super sweet.

It's hard to believe that this is the 4th day.
Thank you so much ladies for joining in and to those of you who visit and leave nice comments.

You can visit previous days here.
