One Room Challenge: Completing a Guest Room

Here we go!
I'm tossing my hat into the
The room I'm working on won't be a complete overhaul.
It's a room that I consider incomplete.

Through the power of photography, you've never known how blank this room really is.
Right now there's just the bed and a 3 drawer dresser.

When my girlfriend was here a few months ago we spent a lot of time in this room and
it gave me a chance to really think about what it needs.

Because it's a guest room, these are the key pieces I believe are missing:
a chair
artwork
something to drink from
extra blankets or throws
things to make a guest feel special
real curtains
etc...

The budget?
This is a Stacey needs some new tires budget!!

A super squeaky budget.
We all work with that kind of budget sometimes, right?
I'm up for the challenge.

Are you joining?

I thought about joining up for the 2nd guest bedroom...because it's empty of furniture...well, the hubster's cigar humidor is in there, but that's it. I don't know if I have it in me to jump on the challenge, but will be looking forward to what you come up with and maybe borrow some ideas! :-)

Those are the challenges I love the best. Not everyone has an endless amount of money to spend on a makeover! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I know you can do it. No budget is the most fun. It's a challenge I can't resist. I can't wait to see how you do it :)

I know you'll do something wonderful! Can't wait to see! I seem to have the most luck sometimes just by shopping my own home. I'm the queen of moving things from room to room. :)

I'm not joining, but I'm so interested to see what you do with that pretty room. I got a great white slipcovered chair at Ikea for a song. Love it and it didn't break the bank.

This looks like a fun challenge, Stacey! I am finding that I need to put time lines to my projects or they never become completed. I like this idea of posting a start date with photos and then having a specific time period to finish it. Good luck! I'm sure you'll have a great time! Blessings, Cindy

Your guest room is looking lovely, Stacey! I adore the colors. I think the coffee filter wreath is beautiful and looks perfect on the old door. I've made 2 of those -- one with white filters and one with natural light brown filters. They are both hanging in my home, somewhere, all the time. They make such a statement with just a few cheap supplies and a bit of time....well, maybe a burned finger here and there if you aren't careful with the glue gun!
