Guest Room Update: One Room Challenge

Good morning!

Dropping in today to give you a little update on our guest room that I'm working
on as part of the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda at Calling It Home.

This is a fun excuse to post pictures of a mess. :)

One Room Challenge Update

This week I've been working on the accessories in the room.
My main focus has been finding perfect, one of a kind art pieces to hang on the walls.

Yes, I'm kidding.

Do you remember what I said about my budget?
With that budget in mind, I framed a piece of Cavallini wrapping paper for one spot.
I have framed pretty papers several times and I'm always happy with it. Just $5 or less.

One Room Challenge guest room update

In this next picture you can see the shelf that was already above the bed.
The birdhouse was purchased a couple of years ago and I just found the art at a very special gallery
near me otherwise known as Hob Lob. I love it!

One Room Challenge Week 3 Messy Progress

I'm on the hunt for coordinating toss pillows.
There's also a lamp shuffle in our near future.

That's where I am on this project right now. :)

I want to thank you all so much for your sweet messages in the last few days.

Remember to visit Poofing the Pillows on Facebook and
leave comments here for the drawing to be held next week.

Good Afternoon Stacey, I love your idea of framing wrapping paper as there are so many lovely prints available. My daughter used to live in Atlanta and when I visited, she took me to Hobby Lobby.... honestly I had never seen anything like it.... the shop was huge and it was filled with so many lovely things.... and I loved it.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best Wishes

You should see my un-photographed rooms to see a real mess. Your idea of a photo of a mess is just too funny! Your Cavallini wrapping paper is beautiful. The room is looking great, but what is that blue thing above the framed paper?

I'm looking forward to the grand finale! You have a very special touch!

I have a hard time believing that you ever have a mess! Love the framed paper. A great budget friendly idea. I am getting the 'Creating Christmas' button ready so that we can display it on our blogs starting in Nov. Did you still want to join? And did you pick a topic. Not sure if you got my e-mail with some suggestions? Also thought that 'A red and white Christmas' would fit you perfectly. Let me know ASAP please!

The colors you've chosen really speak to me...happy and colorful and welcoming. No doubt whoever stays there will enjoy their visit.

Wrapping paper, craft paper, wallpaper, they're all great ideas to frame as they have so many beautiful patterns. The end result is going to be luscious!
