When Husband is Away

The love of my life went camping this weekend and left me here.

What's a girl to do? Well, no worries!
I spent Friday with a long time friend doing girl stuff. We went to Frisco Mercantile
(for all you locals) which is an antique and crafts mall.
Believe me they have everything decorating related that you could ever want.
We ate lunch and then saw a movie.
After the movie we did a little clothes shopping. That's my kind of day!

Yesterday I got the urge to clean my laundry room top to bottom and do a little refluffing.
The shelves needed dusting so I took everything off. That led to a quick trip to Hobby Lobby where I found the clock and laundry sign. On sale, of course.

I know you do that too. :)

Now the laundry room is ready for a new week and I'm soooo  ready for
my hubby to come home.

How about you?

I love both of your great finds! Cleaning my laundry room is definitely on MY to-do list. Could you send a little ambition my way? Ha!

Love what you did! Little changes like that add such cheer to any room, but we all want more cheer in the laundry room. Love the clock!

Hobby Lobby has such cute clocks! I have bought a few there. Love yours, my crush color. lol! The sign is perfect for that spot. I have that same little white bird. Hope hubby is home safe! I do the same thing when mine goes fishing.

I have that same little bird too - he must be very popular : ) Love the things you found at Hobby Lobby. I haven't been there in a long time - I think I may just have to go there soon!

A clock in your laundry room? You are a girl after my own heart!! We have a clock - and often more than one - in every single room of our house PLUS the front porch and gazebo!!! Time change is time consuming around here!!

What a cute laundry room! I wish that I had a laundry room. My washer and dryer are in my kitchen! How bad does that stink?

Love that look! You have inspired me to de-clutter my laundry room today. We were lazy Saturday but got our Christmas lights up yesterday! The season can't get here too soon for me now :) Let's shop soon!

Your laundry room is inspiring! I was interested to read about the Frisco Mercantile. We moved to the Metroplex about a year ago, and I'm still discovering new, exciting places to shop. Thanks for the tip!

I actually looked forward to Steve's business trips when he was working. I liked fluffing the house and shopping leisurely. Now that we are both retired, I don't get many days like that.

You inspire me to do a little fluffing in my laundry/creative space today.

Love that laundry room sign! Isn't it nice to have a girls day out? Sounds like y'all had a perfect one. Tomorrow is my "me time" day, so I plan on going to Kohl's (I have three coupons to use), the Garden Center for some pansies, and the new At Home Store (formerly Garden Ridge) Do y'all have Garden Ridge stores there? I'm curious to see if they're any better now that they've been re branded as "At Home."

The shelves turned out great! It's so refreshing sometimes to move things around or add a few items, isn't it? It can breathe new life into a space. Thanks for sharing!

Love that clock! I seem to have an attraction to clocks. Your room looks lovely. I've never minded doing laundry...but I hate to dust! :)

Glad you had a fun time! Some of us North Texas girls should meet for tea or lunch some day.

Love Frisco Mercantile, but it is wayyyy out there. I don't go very often. Maybe soon, since you reminded me. I am ready to do a little Christmas shopping! Love your laundry room shelves.

I love your new laundry sign, Stacey! It looks like a nice bright room. The clock aisle at Hobby Lobby is my downfall. : ) I try to avoid it since I apparently have a thing for clocks.
