A Bedroom Project Sneak Peek

Hi there!

We've tried our hand at planking a wall.
The short and sweet of it is that this is not for perfectionists!

Everything did not go as we planned but we love it.

And when we make the bed and add in the pretty things it will all be fine.
Right?

I'll be back in a day or two to share more on this.
Let me just say that we laughed our way through it....and that's important!!

Have you done this project?
I'd love to know if your project went without a hitch?

I really love planked walls, though I'm a little chicken to do it, and since Earl is so strongly against nail holes in the wall (sheesh!) I doubt I could sell him on it. Lol
I think it looks fabulous, and I can't wait to see the rest!

You're such a tease!! Hee! Looks like it turned out great! I love the bedding and is that a cable knit pillow? I just entered a giveaway on Dear Lillie to try and win one of theirs. :)

Is that what they call "ship lap"? Joanna uses it on "Fixer Upper". How hard was it? My daughter wants me to do it in her bedroom - a winter project. Anxious to see more of the room when you are finished.

I'm looking forward to seeing the reveal, Stacey! It sounds like a project that would drive my hubby up the wall.

From perusing your blog I see you bought a bedroom set from Pottery Barn way back in 2010. Looking forward seeing to the update.

I love plank walls, Stacey, and believe that imperfection just makes them look more authentic. . .like a vintage cottage. Love that bedding and can't wait to see the final reveal. xxx ~ Nancy

Stacey...I wanted so much to do this on the walls in the lake master bath. It adds such a nice cottage look. I love your new comforter and pillows, too. It's going to be gorgeous!
