Strawberry Pound Cake

If you were my neighbor, I'd call you over right now for a piece of Strawberry Pound Cake.
I'd share with you that I just found the recipe at this beautiful website.
Her recipe calls for blackberries but I like strawberries better.

We'd talk about how wonderful the rain has been today.
And we'd marvel at the fact that we've only hit 100 degrees a couple of times.

If you were my neighbor, I'd ask if you'd like coffee with your cake.
I love coffee in the afternoon.
We'd talk about the fact that it's bathing suit season but we don't care!
We want cake.:)

If you were my neighbor, we'd chat the day away.
I'd probably tell you that my dog is so spoiled and she's driving me crazy.

What would you tell me?

If I were your neighbor I'd grab a fork and be right over! I would tell you about the decorations I'm working on for my daughter's wedding in 3 weeks and how it was 54 degrees here yesterday!

I would tell you that I like strawberries a lot better than blackberries too. Then I'd tell you the reason...we used to have a blackberry bush in the backyard and one day, I was enjoying a handful of fresh blackberries when all of a sudden...a WORM crawled out of one of them!!! Eeewwww!!! But seriously, I totally wish we were neighbors so we could enjoy strawberry pound cake afternoons. :)

Would love a piece of that pound cake! I would tell you that today we are 66 degrees in Oklahoma in July! Broke a new record and Mike Morgan said the drought has now ended in OK! Enjoy the weekend!

If I was your neighbor, I'd be right over for cake and coffee. Sounds wonderful and yummy. I like strawberries better than blackberries. I would be wishing for rain as we need it so badly here in So CA - hope I don't loose any of my roses.
Have a piece of cake for me - sounds so good.

Now that strawberry pound cake looks so good.

You would probably tell me to go home. Right now in a complaining mood that the kitchen is not done, it is too hot, and I want to sew.

No just kidding. I would tell you how excited the past weekend was at my Hubbys family reunion.

I would probably tell you that my dog is as spoiled as yours probably, and that I love folks who spoil their pets.
You would really invite me over for a slice? Folks don't do that often today, or even bother to get to know their neighbor.
How nice!

Hi Stacey, I couldn't find your email to respond to your question about the ice cream bucket lamp but yes, I did make it. I saw some similar over at Polished Pebble's blog a couple of years ago and LOVED them...she had vintage fabric lamp shades on hers. Of course, I had to have one IMMEDIATELY and lucked up at my favorite antique mall finding that particular ice creme bucket and I think I had the shade. I love it!

If I were your neighbor I would be right over! This looks delicious. I just did a blog post about poundcake next week. I suggested we have a national holiday, a day when we have to eat poundcake and shop at Home Goods. Are you in?

Your pound cake looks so yummy, Stacey. Dessert is always best with a cup of coffee. If you were my neighbor I'd listen to you talk about your spoiled dog, and ask you for your pound cake recipe. Then I'd walk you over to my garden and share some of my flowers with you. :) Thanks for leaving such nice comments on my blog. Hugs ~ Nancy

If you give a neighbor cake, she'll want coffee, if you give her coffee, she'll want cream, if you give her cream, she'll need a napkin . . .

I think a mouse did this once!

Lovely cake. I can almost taste it from the photos!
