Parents on the Move

Oh my goodness y'all!

This is one crazy period of time for us right now. My mom sold her house near San Antonio and she is moving to my little town. She has chosen a neat apartment complex for people 55+. It's beautiful and has fun activities every day.  She'll only be a couple of miles from us. :)

Then Thursday night, my dad sold his 104 year old house that I told y'all about recently.
He has already bought a smaller house in his little town  and has to move out by the end of June.
So....lots of box building, lots of packing, lots of unpacking...

I may not be here much in June but I hope to post some because
there are a few projects going on in our house too.

WOW! That is a LOT going on at once. Good things but time consuming. I am so happy your Mom is moving closer to you. That is a good thing (I hope!;>) xo Diana

Thanks for your nice compliment. I played around with my pictures on our photo program, using different filters. I used a water color opaque filter and a chalk opaque filter. My favorite one was the top one and I did it without paying attention. I'm trying to recreate it, so I'll let you know when I do if you are interested.
Good luck with all the moving! Sound fun, but a lot of work!

Moving is a big job, but you have two of them, WOW. Take some time out to rest and don't rush yourself. Can't wait to see your parents new homes.

How nice to have your Mom so near you. Your Dad's home was just beautiful and I was sure it would sell quickly. Moving is a lot of work so you'll need your rest and to eat your wheaties for sure. Praying all goes smoothly for both moves!

Oh, how nice to have your Momma closer to you. My Mom had moved to a 55+ place a couple miles from me...she really loved all the activities and the selection of company if she wanted it! Oh I miss her...make every count. Praying both moves go well for both of them..

Hugs!

I understand that type of busy. I am happy for you that you will have your mother closer to you, and I think those 55 and older places, are well liked by those I know who have moved there too. Hope all goes well for each of them and for you.

How neat your parents live so close to you! My parents refuse to move out of where they are even though they fall, get badly hurt in their big house, there's too big of a garden, etc. Look forward to your return! xoxo Jen

Oh my goodness is right! What a busy month this is going to be for everyone. Good to hear that your mom will be closer to you. My mom lives in our backyard. We built her a little cottage and it's a real good situation because everyone still has their privacy.
