My Favorite Days

I'm often reminded that I'm just not exotic person.
I'd rather be home than anywhere.
Today is such a beautiful day here in North Texas.
We've finally had some rain and every creature and plant is rejoicing!
The windows are open, the birds are singing, and even the nearby construction workers
are whooping it up! :)

We've had rain here since Tuesday, but I sure enjoyed our early summery days (I'm in Ontario Canada).

You look like you have some lovely spots to enjoy these glorious days, Stacey.

Visiting from the Garden Party.

I am glad that you are enjoying your rain! :) Here in Western PA we've had quite a lot this spring...you can just about watch the grass grow! :)

I love to be home too. I relish the days when I don't have a single thing to do and can just sit at home and putter around. :) Your flowers look great! I just planted a Gomphrena in a pot on the patio. Have you ever tried those? It's supposed to be able to take some serious heat and humidity and has pretty little purple flowers. We got a ton of rain Tuesday and now the grass and flowers are happy. Me too, since it means I don't have to water the grass. :) We tied a record low from the 1800's this morning. We were at 49 degrees!

Your plants look so happy! I am a home body too. Love being in my own element, and when we go away, I love stepping in the door again. So glad you are having nice weather. It's cool and rainy here for the past few days.

Oh I'm always happy for days when I get to stay home! That's a gorgeous coleus on your patio.

We had lots of rain yesterday and the temperature has dropped to the 60's so it's feeling like fall (I'm sure it won't last).

I love a summer rain storm! Your geraniums are so pretty and healthy, too. They are my favorite flowers.

Everything on your patio looks so welcoming...of course you love to be home. I'm glad you got some rain, we've had it all week, no sun at all and it's been in the 40's.

I love your fresh new blog look and your profile picture is so cute! :)

Jane

Hi Stacey. Your pictures are so pretty. Isn't it nice to see some wonderful weather for a change. Although here in our part of the country, unfortunately forest fires are a great problem and especially this year so far. Hope all summer isn't like this. We are lucky that we aren't having anything yet in northern California..Happy Weekend..Judy

Here in my part of North Texas, it has been really gorgeous too. We got about 1/2 inch of rain which is amazing. Hoping for some more. Love your little sitting spot and the red geraniums too. I don't think it is bad at all to love being home...I do too. Love to travel when I can, but there is just no place like home.
