From this Little Corner of Mine

I'm so lucky to have a little office area in this house.
It's my spot and I make it as girly as I please.

I've attempted to show you this space before and it's quite a challenge but I'm trying again.
A few weeks ago Sonya made some new curtains for this area and I promised to show them to you.

The curtain below is by my desk.
Sonya made similar curtains for her friend Elizabeth and when I fell down on the
ground begging, she made some for me too.

Isn't it cute?

My desk is around the corner from the kitchen...by the laundry room...and next to the dining room.
You get it?

It's a pass through. You can spin and see 4 rooms at once.

The cutie above is in the laundry room.
Every day these curtains make me smile because I love the colors.

Do you have a little happy spot?
I'd love to see pictures.

Sorry, my fingers aren't typing right today. I love your curtains and how fabulous to have a little spot just for you. I have one corner of the buffet in the breakfast area, and I do claim it as mine too. I would love for you to link up to my Inspire Me party that is ongoing. http://www.astrollthrulife.net/2014/04/211th-inspire-me-tuesday.html Hope to see you there. Hugs, Marty

That strawberry post looks yummy! I just bought some strawberries at the market. I might make some muffins with some of them!

I adore the window treatment in the laundry room. I know you must smile every time you walk in there....I know I would! SO CUTE!!!!

It makes the chore of doing laundry seem less blah....

I really love your curtains...and how nice to have your own little space in your house. I have my own side of the bed! Ha!

Sonya made me a table runner and a Christmas tree skirt. Her work is beautiful and she is meticulous. We need to spread the word about her!

XO,
Jane

What a great little spot! LOVE those curtains and the chair! Since I work from home, my little spot has actually grown into a quarter of my whole master bedroom. Someday I'll get the smallest bedroom as my office, but not until we're empty nesters. I had originally planned to do my office space as girly too, but it ended up going way more to the other side of my personality - the fangirl/geek one lol. I even put up my Indiana Jones poster from when I was 14 (now I'm 43). It's very eclectic and certainly not girly now, but it's very me. I did a post about it back in November, http://chaotictendancies.blogspot.com/search/label/My%20Office it's still mostly like that, but now there's even more stuff on the walls lol.

They are both pretty valances, Stacey! Sonya does amazing things with window treatments. I like how you used the same fabrics, but in different ways. I have a small room {a storage room really} in our condo that I can call my own. Unfortunately, there is no window, which I would have loved. I look at it as just more wall space for storage!

I love your valances. So happy looking. Love that chair too!

Love those curtains! (I actually pinned them when I saw photos from the other blog) and everything about your space. Right now I am tucked in the end of our bedroom looking out over the back yard but I'll have an empty nest in August and then I'll have a room of my own! :>)

I love your little happy spot! That red chair is my favorite and I also adore those cabinet/drawer knobs. So pretty! Now those curtains...wow! I love the pop of color! Very nice! My little happy spot is probably the reading corner in my master bedroom. I love having a tiny little area that is all my own. As you know, with all boys, it's always fun to have your own girly spot. :)

Oh how darling Stacy! Love your cute chair and your valance is so stinkin cute. I need a girly room:) I keep teasing my older son that when he is off to college his room is MINE. He doesn't believe me,but he is in for a big surprise when he comes home his first break to an all pink laced room LOL!

So pretty!! I love your curtains and your chair is so cheery!

I finally am working on a spot and I don't use it? Why you ask? I am wondering the same thing. It might be because it is not finished yet? I need to just go in there and enjoy it!

Your curtains are so pretty! I can tell you put thought into designing them. I like your quiet, girly space and I think it fun to think that maybe your posts come to fruition there. I understand the smell in the kitchen thing, and remember in a previous house of ours, the same thing happened.
