It's a Lovely Day Today

It's not a typical Saturday here today.
Usually Saturdays are spent running errands and doing projects.
But my hubby is pooped so he's hiding upstairs with the big TV today.
That's like torture to me during the day.

So I'm playing house.
Just made a big pitcher of peach tea and finished scrubbing the kitchen.
Pandora is streaming the Bing Crosby and Andrews Sisters channel which I adore!

Thinking about running to Hobby Lobby to look for a tassel and some fabric I need to send to Sonya.
I would also like to find some pretty faux forsythia to make a wreath.

What are you up to today?
Hope you are having a lovely day. :)

Today we are hanging the lights in the kitchen and trying to get some things done around the house. A trip to Hobby Lobby sounds fun, and I love the cute dishtowels in the last photo! Call me crazy, but new dishtowels make me smile:>)

Hubby and I went Estate sale-ing but didn't find anything. Then we went grocery shopping....we split the list to get done faster!! and now we are home with the windows opened and enjoying a beautiful day!

We spent most of the day outside. Me, laying a stone side walk and Mr. Comforts building the raised bed. It didn't rain today as predicted but will probably rain tomorrow. So we are only partially done with both projects.

Your kitchen looks lovely.

I LOVE your pretty kitchen!!! I just cleaned the one in our camper and am about to do the bathroom next. We're down in the country for a few days. Will be painting some trim for the 'new' house my stepson and his wife are fixing. She is moving from 'Town' to the country full time soon. You have the prettiest tea towels!!!

Playing house sounds fun.

I just got home from my first volleyball tournament of the season. My girls are weak and we only had 2 practices before this first tournament so they were disappointed in themselves.

It is hot like a summer day and Lulu missed her morning walk so we are headed to the beach and then I need to bake something green to take to the St. Patrick's Day party on the lane.

Hope you get to Hobby Lobby (I have never been to one).

Today... today is/was a pretty exciting day for me and mine. We got to find out the gender of our new grandchild. My first by blood... 2nd by luv. What an emotional afternoon we had. :) all smiles!!!!
But I must say, all that emotion has left me exhausted.

I love seeing pics of your beautiful kitchen!!! The cabinets are so pretty and I love the paper towel holder too! :) We're having a lazy day. Picked up lunch at La Madeleine and then just a lot of lounging around. It's been raining on and off which is perfect for snuggling up and reading. :)

I'm so envious of all of you that have a Hobby Lobby nearby. We don't have one close to us here. Your kitchen is beautiful and I don't blame you for going to Hobby Lobby if I could I would! Thanks for sharing. Denise

How fun! I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday, as they just opened a new one five minutes from my house. The one I had been going to was only 10 minutes away, in the opposite direction! Lol! Now, I can get into trouble easier! Today was a lazy day for me. Hubby is out of town; and I kept my pj's on, watched tv and played on the internet. Happy Saturday!

I started the morning off with a few errands but then enjoyed a very lazy afternoon of watching television with my husband with the sound of rain in the background. It was heaven.

Beautiful kitchen! Yesterday I worked in the yard doing the last of my spring cleanup of the flower beds. Wanted to get that done since we're to have snow again on Monday.

I love your pretty spring towels. They are so cheerful and bring such a pop of color.
Visiting Hobby Lobby is always dangerous for me. They have such lovely and irresistible things. I rarely get out of there without spending a fortune.
Will you come spring clean my house? You are very ambitious.

The little light in the corner, along with the silver tray, is a lovely way to add a cozy touch to your kitchen, as well as the pretty red and white tea towels on the oven door. It is always fun to see what you do.
