Thinking About Fashion Today at the End of a Very Eventful Week

How's that for a long title?

Here's the short quick story...my 22 year old son who has complained about a pain in his side for 4 or 5 weeks had an appendectomy Tuesday night!
Not what was on the schedule this week, I'm telling ya.

It looks to me like an appendectomy is more painful than I would have ever expected.
He's recovering and his dad and I are practicing nurses. :)

Now on to the fun stuff - there's nothing like a new season to make a girl want some new clothes!

Here are a few things that have caught my eye lately:

I buy one or two of these every year at Loft.
The fit is flattering.

And wouldn't the tshirt be cute with these white jeans?

Alison at Get Your Pretty On showed these sandals this morning.
Yes please. ;)

Put those pieces together with my trusty denim jacket
and this looks like one great spring outfit to me.

Love this too...
The other day I spotted this little dress on the J C Penney website.
I can picture this with the leopard sandals.

What's catching your eye lately?

Ouch! But he'll be up and at 'em in no time! Youth and all.;)
PS Love those sandals.

Goodness! Glad he got to the hospital in time and that he is feeling better soon.
I love anything leopard print so the sandals, yes! I haven't even begun to look at spring clothes, it's just to darn cold to think about it yet.

Wow! Glad to hear your son is ok now!

LOVE Loft. Love the t-shirt and white jeans and anything leopard is my style. I have been hoping to loose a few pounds before spring shopping, but so far no luck.

I had appendicitis, too, as a teen. No pain, just vomiting. Then the blood tests showed all the white blood cells. And yes, the pain was out of this world and I had had previous, more invasive surgery before that (long story) that weren't as bad. I hope he is better soon.

I love all your choices. I love skinny jeans, I just have to wear a longer, loose top with them.

JAne

Oh my Stacey, so sorry to hear about your son! Not a fun operation for sure! Glad you are able to be his nurse and look after him! One of my sons had his appendix removed when he was eight years old. He did fine but was very sick prior to surgery. Speedy recovery!

My daughter had one at 17 as well. We thought she was being dramatic and it turns out we were wrong...one of very few times.lol Love your fashion choices especially the peasant tee. I purchased a pair of leopard flats at the end of last summer and can't wait to get back into them.

Your post makes me want to go shopping. Teachers get in a rut and just wear the same old thing all the time!

Wow that's a long time to go with pain! Glad it's all taken care of and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Oh your poor son! Hope he's on the road to recovery and feeling better soon. I love those leopard sandals. I have a light weight leopard print jacket that I bought in San Francisco or San Jose (can't remember which one) and it would go perfectly with those sandals!

I need to get out of my yoga pants and tees.

Thursday night we went to a friend's house for dinner and I actually dug out some cute JCrew teal pants and and a fun tee.

I need to check out the peasant tee you showed.

And, leopard sandals are a must.

Ugh! I hope he's feeling better soon! I had an appendectomy 1 month after John and I were married. I was convinced it was food poisoning. Turns out it wasn't! My white count was fine, BOTH times they checked it. And finally they did a CT scan and it had already burst! Not fun!
Ps- I LOVE those sandals!!!

That's the second appendectomy that I have heard of this week! I hope his recovery is going well.

I can't live with out my white jeans.... But what I have been obsessed with this weekend is anti aging blogs... weird! :P

I love white jeans and capris and we wear white a lot here in Florida. Since I let my hair go silver, I bought a couple of new tops that are really light gray. I think they look good with my hair color...I hope anyway! Sweet hugs!

I like the peasant tops as well. I have several and, I agree, very flattering. I so hope your son is doing better, Stacey.

My brother went through the same surgery and I know how painful it is. I hope he is feeling much better now.

As for the fashions...I like your taste in that category.

Love that JCP dress!

I've been in the spring cleaning mood also. I feel so much better when everything is fresh.

Love your blog!
