For My Girlfriends

Y'all know I love the Soul Pancake videos.

This one came today in my email and couldn't be more perfect to go along
with some of the things I've read lately and feelings expressed by friends.

I hope you'll watch it.

Prepare to be a little teary eyed.

Prepare to be wowed!!

Watch to the very end please. It's worth it. :)

Oh Stacey-

This is such an important issue.

Even in my life I find myself worrying about weight far too much.

There has to be a better way and a better message.

Thank you for sharing this.

Wow, Stacey. I have never heard of Soul Pancake before. Now I am going to check out more of their stuff...and show this one to my kids...and their friends.

That is a real issue for women today. I wish we weren't so critical about ourselves, but I know I am really hard on myself. I need to improve!

I'm wondering why beer belly balding men don't have this problem. They are perfectly fine with their flaws and we are too. I don't get it. What is it about women that we seem to be incapable of loving ourselves.
Great video Stacey! I'd never heard of Soul Pancake, either. Thanks for sharing!

That was wonderful.

I am going to share it with my daughter, who I think is beautiful, but she doesn't always feel that way.

This sounds wonderful. I'm without time now, but must come back and enjoy this video.

Thank you for sharing it. Since the message must be one, so needed in today's day and age.

I've never watched one of these before but how beautiful...all the way to the end. If only more of our teens could watch this and take it to heart. Sweet hugs!

Thanks so much for introducing me to Soul Pancake! This video has such a wonderful message and I'd love to share it. I think there's too much pressure on young girls to look a certain way via the media, magazines, movies, etc. I also believe that "we" as more mature adults still carry a bit of this too.

Thank you Stacey, this has been a real theme that I have seen just this past week. Comparison is the enemy. How we value ourselves and our uniqueness is something that comes with maturity. There is so much to be explored and understood in this area, I appreciate every post I see on this issue. It speaks to the very core of our we view and value ourselves for who we are.
