Coffee Table Vignette: For a Little While

Creating vignettes is one of the fun parts of decorating.

 Don't you think?

I'll confess that our coffee table tends to stay the same: tray, magazines, and coasters.

 It's a practical thing.

Today I decided to change it up with some oldies but goodies.

I grabbed a piece of fabric and skillfully sewed glued the edges down.

Retrieved some books from a shelf, a bird nest,
and a statue that dates back to the beginning of our marriage.

I likey!! :)

Don't know how long this will last. That nest looks like it would be awfully fun to our kitty.

Remember when I mentioned Zumba the other day?
Going back tonight for the sixth time. Woo hoo!

Are you keeping your exercise resolutions?

You are certainly doing a lot of "poofing" and posting.

I love your nest. I have a vintage look birdcage and after all of the things I have had in it, I think I would actually like a bird's nest.

Lovely "poofing".

I always loved doing Zumba...it's energizing, isn't it? And leaves you tired but in a good way! Have fun dancing the night away!

Very pretty! I love changing things up, but yes, kitties and kiddos are my nemesis, too! I have not been keeping up with my exercise resolutions unless you count knitting! Can we please count knitting? ;)

It's fun to change this up, even better that you were able to shop your house and use what you have! Congrats for keeping up your exercise routine.

LOL! I do think kitty will find the nest "fun"!

I love changing things up and your vignette looks great. Love the nest makes me feel like there's hope for spring in the freezing weather!

I love your nest and those eggs are just so sweet.

Your nesting and fluffing looks great! I have that book and fabric like that...

No, I fell off the healthy wagon a week or so ago. Too cold to go out and comfort foods are what I am craving so I gave in lol.

I like your nest and eggs! It feels like maybe there will be a Spring season down the road. (We are having an awful inversion with nasty air trapped in the valley.) Good job on the Zumba. So far I'm failing my exercise resolution!

I like your vignette, Stacey! I need to get on to some decorating! Everything has stayed the same since Christmas while I wait for a few new pieces of furniture (which are coming on Tuesday! Yay).

Good for you with the Zumba! I hear it's a lot of fun!

Jane

Very pretty, Stacey! I have the Nell Hill books, too, and love pulling them down every so often and looking through them. Good for you for keeping up with the Zumba!

No exercise resolutions here, but I know I need to move around more, so I plan to "walk the mall" until the subzero temps subside. The coffee table looks great!

So-fun, to do little change-ups. :-)

I didn't make resolutions, although daily walking would be a marvelous one, for me to make.

But needless to say, I'm not in the groove yet.

Hooray for you!!!!

I wish I could put more on our coffee table, but Hubby loves to put his feet up on it, so I only put a couple of things on it. Love what you did with yours.

Stacey, so glad you dropped by my brand new blog. I'll be so glad for Spring. Tennesse just shouldn't be this cold. Don't do Zumba but I'm walking every day and working out with weights a few times a week. Otherwise, come Spring I'd roll out of my recliner like a blimp. ;-). Stay warm.

What a perfectly pretty vignette! I love the nest mixed with the book, fabric and statue! Great that it can be changed out whenever you want..way easier than moving the furniture around for a new look! We are freezing...heard you all got some flurries south of the Red River!

I really like how you styled your coffee table! The little statue is pretty and the nest adds great texture. Zumba sounds fun. I've never done that before.

I love changing things up like that. Your little nest is precious. I bet your kitty will think so too. :) I was at Kirklands yesterday and they had some cute nests and eggs. I love using "Spring like" items in my decor. Congrats on keeping up the zumba! I've heard it's actually kind of fun. :)

LOL My Kitty would be all over that in a second! :) You will have to let us know how long it lasted or was safe :)

My dogs would have a field day with the nest. I have some pinecones in a tureen on my coffee table right now and I'm constantly picking those up off the floor. At least they don't actually eat them. Enjoy your trip to San Diego! I bet it's warm there!
