Ticking and Toile in the Granny Room

When do you decide that something is beautiful to you and deserves to be repeated
or you are stuck in your ways?

I'm not sure but I've been using bits of Waverly Toile for years and just added some more. :)

The Granny Room needed window treatments desperately.
Even my husband noticed that the window was naked.

So today with my iron and Stitch Witch, I created curtains.

And I love them.

Yes it's somewhat predictable.
But that's ok.
We can't always be original. Right?

Found this pretty picture frame at an antique mall the other day.
Don't you love the bowl of cherries?
That's a picture from a magazine...I'm going to leave it there.

This room is used often and needs to function well.
The chair is from my old classroom
The little foot stool is from Decor Steals.

My next project is to add a gallery wall with pictures of grandparents.
Add a suitcase stand or bench and a night table.

What else does the Granny Room need?

Stacey, the curtains look great. I have that Waverly toile in table linens (red) and I have the same print on a roman shade in the kitchen in green. I swear I think we're soul sisters!

I LOVE THE PHOTO FRAME!!!! Love the twigs and flowers. It's too cute! Did you put the bowl of cherries photo in the frame? I love it.

Stacy, I have loved toile and ticking for years. Never goes out of style if you ask me. Your curtain turned out simply darling! I have a lot of cherry décor in my basement kitchen. They make me smile. I bought that same little stool from Décor Steals. For now it ended up in the playroom under the stairs.

I love how that room is coming along! I like red and white together. Yours has a wonderful vintage vibe to it too. Love the red and white pillows on the bed and the cute little footstool in front of the chair. You're like me and use iron on webbing to hem things. Great idea with your curtains.

I made some curtains almost just like these, using the same toile and black and white checks once.
