Chicken Noodle Casserole, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Hallelujah Chorus

What makes an excellent day?

Baking chicken noodle casserole at the request of Son #2.

Listening to Hallelujah Chorus because its his music of choice.

He's writing a paper about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for his English Composition class.

Hiding from the heat.

Its all good. :)

Hiding from the heat here in Michigan, too!
Fond memories of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...seems like just yesterday that our sons were young and enjoyed playing with them.
Thanks for sharing!

LOL Stacey,

At first glance at reading the title of your post I thought you might be suffering the ill effects of all this heat! Glad to see that your day turned out perfectly! Stay cool!!

Chicken Noodle casserole sounds so yummy right now!
How are you enjoying your summer other than the heat wave we're in? Let's pray for a tropical depression or something. No hurricanes tho...:-)

Talk about a blast from the past! TMNT were #1 son's first action figures! Both boys loved that cartoon and of course all the toys that went along with it.:)

Hi Stacey!!
You are having a blessed summer!!
I wanted to reply to your comment through email about our ferrets, but it comes back as noreplyblogger :( Anyway, here is my reply to you :)
Aren't ferrets darling?
Didn't think I'd love them so much!
Ha! I kissed Sylvia's little pink nose for you this morning and told her it was from you!
Haven't read that book!
Will go find it!
Sounds fun!
(I homeschooled my daughters for 12 years...never ran across that book.)
Thank you for stopping by!
HUGS, me
P.S. I love your beautiful blog!

I didn't know the Ninja turtles were still around. My girls used to act out their parts with the neighbor across the street 20 years ago! Yikes, I'm old. Thanks for leaving such a nice comment on my blog. I'm your newest followers. Stay out of the heat!

I love when my now grown son's ask for a favorite dish the their childhood...they refer to it as old school :-)
How they loved those dishes I had to create because it was cheap and they ended up full!

Hugs!

Hey, Stacey! Love the randomness of this short and sweet post! Made me smile!

I love it all...except the heat part. Edmond is burning up hot! We got up at 6am to do some VERY NECESSARY yard work (installing new flowerbed weed stuff) and by 9am we were crazy. :(

Would love the recipe for the casserole.

I MISS MY KIDS!

TOTALLY hiding from the heat here too. I'm trying to water my gardens every other day now. SO much water and so little rain. I hope our well is as good as we think it is. I can't imagine 22 days of this. We're going on 6 or 7 and I'm starting to go nuts. Tonight we're supposed to go to a 4H cookout at 7:00 with a pool party to follow. I hope it cools off before then :)

Hi Stacey, Can you believe this heat?? It is just unbearable...You are not far from me so I bet we are experiencing close to the same temps. My dad got new sod right before this heatwave too and his bill was $260! Woah! He had to water it though. I am looking forward to seeing your new kitchen! I bet the countertops and new faucet look beautiul!! Try to stay cool...I still haven't watered yet so it's time to go sweat!lol... Kristen

Thanks for your nice comment about my cloche. I tried to email you back but your comments are set up to no reply so I could not. I have read Romantic Country quie a bit. That is so nice that you think my house should be in there. I have been contacted by someone to do an article for a magazine but they wanted to see the bedrooms and I have not fixed them all up as of yet. So I'm suppose to contact her when done.

This heat is just zapping me. I have a bunch of family things going on that I'm having to be lots of places taking care of things and the heat is making it more difficult. A friend is out of town and I am caring for her pets and plants and it's about to do me in taking care of all of her's and all of mine.

I'll be so glad when she is back on Saturday.

I will be so happy when it cools down a little in like a month.

Did I miss your kitchen redo? You're probably still working on it. Can't wait to see it.
Try to stay cool!

I looked all over your blog for an email link but there isn't one. :o( Your comment emails reply to the dreaded no-comment blogger too. Anyway, thanks for your sweet comment about my daughter's house and yes those are glass tiles in the kitchen. She didn't pick them out...the house was sort of a flip. She loves them though...have a great Sunday and stay cool!
