If You Give a Man a Shovel

If you give a man a new shovel....

He will plant one Red Crimson Japanese Maple.

(Prepare to see the ugly part of the yard.  Hanging my head in shame.)

He will also plant 14 hostas found at half price.

One volunteer oak leaf hydrangea.

2 California ivy plants.

Several oat grass clumps that were divided from one huge one in the yard.

And lots of Creeping Jenny.

And all between 5pm and 8pm he will begin to transform the ugly to something pretty.

Now on to the stone pathway...

I love him. :)

Wow that is awesome! How nice to have such a helpful gardening husband! I am thankful for mine..he spends hours mowing, edging and helping with me in the garden. What would we do without them? I love your new japanesee maple..one of my favorite trees!!

Wow! He is one dedicated yard guy! It's going to be great! I wish we had more shade areas for hostas. Such a great perennial.

Not only is he a handsome dude....he is a sweetie to do all this yard work. Now, Mr. Sweet will do a lot of things but he is sure not fond of yard work...

There is just something so hot about a hubby getting those home projects done for us. I love that maple. The leaves are so lace like.

Oh wanted to tell you you have the cutest header ever in blogland. Did you do it yourself? It is too darn cute with all that red.

"He" did a marvelous job! Your hubby really worked hard too! :) It will begin to grow like wildfire!
I like your idea, Stacey, of the black and white prints on the big wall! Thank you,
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
