Taking It One Moment At A Time

My mantra lately is, "One thing at a time...."

This time last year the tree was decorated.

The gifts were wrapped.

I was pretending that Paula Deen was my best friend while I baked and she played on the TV.

This year none of those things are finished but I'm spending my days with 9 year olds who are loving the season.  I can only do one thing at a time and that's ok.

We will do the tree on Saturday.

The UPS man will knock on the door.

And it will all be ok. :)

You are 100% correct! We put so much time into Christmas and really forget the real meaning. I think spending time with 9 year olds is much more fun!

A great post! Have a blessed week!

Now that my kids are adults, I think having some 9 year olds to share Christmas with sounds like a lot of fun. It seems like one way or another the Christmas planning gets accomplished.
So nice to hear from you and glad to know that you are enjoying your teaching.

You can bet that it will all fall into place eventually, so keep plugging along as best you can!

Sometimes change is difficult to accept, but for you it seems like you have a good grasp on it...one thing at a time is a good concept for all of us. What would we do without the UPS employees?

Hello stranger! I'm so glad you came by awhile back. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you!

A less hurried Christmas seems to be the theme for many of us this year! It is OK! We can apprecialte it better this way.

Like my teenage boys tell me... that stuff isn't going anywhere. It will get done, when it gets done!
Such philosophical boys.

The most important things always get done eventually! Simple is always best too...and you will always have a lovely home, sweet holidays and a happy family because of YOU!

I hear you sister teacher! No tree here yet either, but 8 and 9 year olds keep it fun! How long is your winter break? We have 3 weeks and I am ready for some snuggling in!
