When a Girl Goes Back to Work

The other day I taught our fourth graders a lesson on cause and effect in stories.  For example, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.....he's going to ask you for a glass of milk.  Are you with me?

This post is When a Girl Goes Back to Work....she will want and need new clothes!  Do a little virtual shopping with me.

Love this vest from the Gap.
I'm stalking it at the store, waiting for a sale, and the luck to find a small.

Love this sweater from Ann Taylor Loft.
I have pinstripe pants that would match this perfectly.

Yes, please!  Jacket from Talbots.  I love the cut and color of this.
Perfect with slacks, skirts, or jeans on casual Friday.

Speaking of Talbots.  Have you seen their fall catalog?  Swoon!

Adorable combo from Boden.

Perfectly professional outfit from Eddie Bauer.

I only buy things on sale.  How about you?

Thanks for coming along with me.
I want to say, "Thanks" to so many of you who have sent comments lately.

School is great.  I absolutely love my kids and co-workers.

I'm a lucky girl!

I bet you are a great teacher...one whom the students adore!

Yes, I am a sale item purchaser...but hate to shop for clothes...oft times if I find a top of what I like - will buy it in several colors.

Hi Stacey,

Oh my goodness - yes I am really big on buying things on sale. The gray vest is adorable and I hope you can find it on sale - so classic - it will never go out of style.

Thank you for your comments on my Bible verses - I plan to incorporate a Bible versse on each blog post from now on and look forward to searching for just the right one to go with my art and post.

Have a wonderful year teaching - I know your students just love you.
Blessings,
Erin

I was wondering when we would hear from you!! Yes, I love shopping and yes, I ONLY buy on sale!!

I love classic clothes. Talbots, Anne Taylor Loft, J. Jill etc. I usually buy one or two key pieces at the beginning of a season and not wait for a sale. But then after I get that vest, or jacket to mix and match with what I have, then I wait for sales for the rest of the stuff.

Love all of your picks!

What cute clothes you have selected!
I am inspired-they look classic but youthful too.
Yes- I buy things on sale, but I always check the racks at TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls.
My best luck this summer was at Macys.
How is school going?

Oh, I just love the story If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. For the past three years I have read that book to Kindergarteners (as a volunteer K Reader) in one of our local schools.

And, YES, usually I only buy items on sale. It is the only way to shop. My CVS coupon came in mighty handy with sale items today. Talbots is great!

Glad that the school year is off to a great start! :)

I love all your choices! Sales are great but I love the outlet malls too. Have you been to the one in Allen? There's an Ann Taylor Loft and a Coach store. You know it's just a hop, skip and a jump from you.:)

Oh my goodness. I want that sweater from Ann Taylor. NICE! Now, I am going to keep loving you even though you are a small! : ) I don't think they make clothes that cute in my ginungonormous size! I wear black pants and black shirts almost every day : (. Nothing to write home about for certain : )

I did a little research for you and found this photographer that lives in your area and has a style similar to Susan Keller's that you liked on my blog:

She lives in Owasso and would probably drive to Edmond…it’s not that far. Her name is Shana Davis (Shana Davis Photography – Owasso, OK – 918-274-0403 – http://www.shanadavis.net ).

Let me know what you think? : )

Happy Tuesday pretty friend!

It has been at least five years since I've been taken with any of the fashions in the stores. I'll spend my money on the house until fashion changes some!

I think of you often and your new role in life. I am sure you are a special addition to the teaching roster at your school. And, I am convinced that you have real fashion sense by the posts you have shared. Me, coupons and sales are the way to go. Sometimes the mark up on clothing surprises me. I like every picture that you shared. Wishing you well.

You will be the best dressed teacher around Stacey. I've seen some here that wouldn't pass the student's dress code!

I was feeling bad about not visiting lately but see you've been busy for a few weeks too! So glad you're enjoying being back at school working.
Hugs,
Dawn

Busy start to the year, hunh? I think it makes such a difference when the teacher dresses like he/she cares. My husband is substitute teaching right now and he has found wearing a tie helps with classroom management. Kids pick up on those subtle things. Happy Shopping!

So happy to hear you are enjoying going back to work. I'll bet you are a great teacher.
How fun to be thinking about fashion. I get by in jeans and sweats working at home, but love to look good too. I'm with you...only buy on sale. Everything eventually goes on sale.
You have great style and I enjoyed the shopping trip with you.

Hi Stacey!! Just thought that I would pop over and say hey.

Love that pencil skirt! HMMMM! I try to buy only on sale... HOWEVER! If I reeeeeeelllllllly love something, I just go ahead and get it. Especially when it comes to shoes. I were an 8. The most average size there is.... so they are usually gone by the time the sale rolls around.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me such a kind comment! :)

Oooh, sign me up for one of each of these, please! I especially love the look of that Gap vest.

I rarely buy anything at full price, and these days there are enough sales, coupons, and discount codes that it seems silly to ever do that!

G'eve ~ I know you are busy but so appreciate your taking the time out to pop by, Stacey.

How fun it would be to fit into those kinds of clothes, chuckle!

Have a beautiful eve ~

What cute clothing you have chosen! You will look adorable in them..and I loved it when you said the word "sale." The only problem is that IF you really love it..then lots of other women might also...and you will miss out. The vest was my favorite..and I am hoping to find just the right one this season.
I also smiled at you hoping there would be a "small" left. OH, to be able to say such a thing again in this lifetime!
Enjoy your week!

Hi Stacey. Thanks for stopping by at my blog! I do try to buy things on sale or with a coupon, but if I really love something I'll buy it full price. But it has to be one of those "must have" things!
