Don't You Just Adore...

...the way ooky-smooshy-forgotten-black bananas can be transformed
into the most wonderful banana muffins?

Ooky-smooshy is an adjective I just made up. :)

Fresh from the oven with a tidge of butter on them...just absolutely makes the taste buds so happy...makes me want to run to the store - get the bananas and wait until they are past the point of good eating fresh and make some of these delightful muffins.

Have a great week!

I am always amazed at how those ugly old bananas can turn into something so beautiful and scrumptious. Yours look like just the thing to go with my coffee this morning.

Mmmm...I can smell them all the way over here in NC. :) Nothing better!

Yum! Wish I had one with my coffee right now. I can see the sugar sprinkled on top and my mouth is watering. I always seem to have bananas like that.

Giveaway on my blog today!

OH Yummy! I make banana bread with my ooky-smooshy -lol.

Usually there is only one banana that goes black - so I toss it in the freezer. No need to wrap the skin acts as a natural wrapper. When I get three in the freezer, I pull them out. Peel them, set them in a strainer over a bowl (they for some reason get watery) and let it drain for a few minutes. Then add to my recipe.
Hugs,
Penny
p.s. I am following you :-)

Yummy! I am now craving this since we do have some smooshy bananas. I'll hold back for now and dream.

A lady I used to work with years ago made the best homemade banana bread ever with cream cheese icing. It was so moist and good.
