Silver Sunday

A little shiny silver to share with you in this New Year. This silver piece is part of a huge coffee and tea service that was given to me by my sweet Aunt Doris.

It is beautiful!

She loved to have company and serve others. She told me that she used her silver service when the garden club came to her home. I'd love to have you all over for coffee or tea...once the snow melts, of course. :)

Be sure to visit Beth at Gypsy Fish for a list of other Silver Sunday participants.

Stacey,

What a cheerful picture with the shiny silver coffee pot filled with daisies! I love daisies and used them on my Christmas table this year. Very pretty vignette! Sonia

You know those tea and coffee services are just so gracious. They bring back memories of a different time. Yours is beautiful and I know you cherish it and its memory. Are you ready for the cold and wind? Yikes!!

Wouldn't it be fun to have a garden club? Of course, I have a terribly black thumb so I would definitely not be a candidate for hosting a garden club but it sounds wonderfully old fashioned!

Happy Silver Sunday! Blessings... Polly (Counting Your Blessings & French Cupboard)

Gorgeous silver teapot!! I wish I had one like that, it is so charming. It would be great to have a garden party, what wonderful things we could make and talk about over tea and cookies!!! All served on silver of course!

How wonderful that you have the service from your Aunt. I had a wonderful Aunt Doris who passed way too young. I miss her still. I would love to share a cup of tea from your beautiful server.

I sometimes wish we still used silver tea sets to have friends over! Everything seems so casual now, most of my friends would think I was off my rocker to have fancy fun like that. How womderful to have something so pretty handed down form family:>)

Hi Stacey,
I found your blog from your comment at Suzanne's site. I love your red geraniums! (I love red anything, as a matter of fact.) Also, you used the words "cup towel" which reminds me of my grandmother.
Happy New Year!
