Oh that was fun. Brought back memories. My Mom and Dad loved him. I probably saw that when it first aired. We watched all his shows. Yes, I am that old. THanks for the memories.

Oh Stacey,

I love this clip, it's one of my favorties!! My father-in-law performed in a band with Tennessee Ernie Ford...believe it or not..way back in the late 1940's and early 1950's. It was before Tennessee went on to made it big but continued somewhat after that too. They were on tv together in the Pasadena and Los Angeles area. In fact Tennessee recorded some of my father-in-law's music. We have many wonderful recordings of them singing and playing together! What a treat that you put this up on your blog for the holidays! Made me smile with delight! Sonia

Oh, how precious, Stacey! Tennessee Ernie was one of a kind. I wish there were programs like that on tv today.

I'm going to send the video to my parents -- they'll love it, too. Thank you for sharing it.

Wow! I just "googled" the Tennessee Ernie video to send to my parents, and saw a comment posted about it saying that the little boy in the video was Ernie's son Brian.

I LOVE TDF! I read not long ago the little son in the video passed away. Gone too soon.

TEF had great faith...what an amazing singer and entertainer.

Love from your neighbor~

How adorable! Leave to kids to take the "starch" out of a production -- just by being themselves!
