Happy Thursday

Good Morning! What does your day hold today? For me it's cleaning, baking, wrapping, lunch with a friend, grocery shopping, and probably more cooking. Wow! I will be loving every minute of it!
I have to share this...you know that universal dream where you have to be some place but no matter how hard you try you can't get there? I had that feeling yesterday. Actually mine was about cooking and gifting...I made pound cakes for my son's teachers...they stuck to the pan and fell apart. Made candy for teachers...it didn't set up. So I'm at it again today with new loaf pans! Yes I threw the others away! Wish me luck. :)
PS. Pound cake crumbs taste wonderful and are calorie free. I'm sure of it!

LOL! I had that kind of dream yesterday morning! But yours was real, I least I got to wake up from it!

I was really hoping to get by today before you saw my post. Did you see the spackle on the wall where I moved things around and forgot to paint a spot? See, I told you I do it all the time. The wall with the tole try probably has 10 holes behind the stockings! I just cant get it right! LOL! I also move the tree around to 3 different spots, after it had been decorated! Then I put it back where it started. I really need to learn to let go of that perfectionism. LOL!
Christmas Hugs,
Dawn

Stacey, yes it is a fun hurry, scurry time of year. Thanks for keeping Andrew's picture near as I tend to forget those who have a devastating blow to their family to deal with, especially at this time of year. I have two little girl angels in heaven looking over our family.

I hate days like that. I KNOW those crumbs had no calories AT ALL!! I'm going to try to finish up my shopping, then get some gifts wrapped. All I have left is stocking stuffers. Hope I can get that done!

Good luck. All cooking will turn out perfectly today. Your day sound very busy. Mine is not so much. Just grocery shopping for the Sugarplum visit and planning AJ's birthday cake.

Stacey~~~~~

After the disaster yesterday, you sound very optimistic and happy today!!

I made cupcakes, cookies and brownies last night. The brownies stuck to the pan and turned to mush when I tried to cut them. I have a cold and I had to keep stopping to blow my nose and wash my hands. Fun, huh?

Today is back to baking, decorating and wrapping. I will try to be merry!!

Stacey,
All your goodies sound yummy. I'm thinking about waiting until the weekend to start baking. I'll have 2 more kids coming in then. Have a great Thursday, Friend. :)

Some days are just like that...must have been in the air here in Oklahoma as I made Chex Mix and some of the squares did not get crisp...just hard...I thought I was stirring it enough...did salvage some - but threw away at least half of it.

Oh well, just less calories for me to consume.

I am exhausted just reading your post Stacey lol, we are just about ready just in time for our sons arrival. I am sure your cake and candy are perfect today, those crumbs cant possible hold that many calories so eat up. Not sure I will how much blog time I will get now so I wanted to wish you and your family a very safe and happy Christmas and I look forward to popping in over here in 2010, hugs, Kathy.

Thanks so much for your kind comments about my home tour! I hope you had a successful baking day today--those are some lucky teachers! Enjoy this holy season!

Unfortunately I can relate to a day like you had yesterday. Hopefully, today was better. What a sweet thing to do...bake these pound cake for the teachers. You do deserve the crumbs you know...calories or not.

Hi Stacey, Oh, I just love those old postcards! Sounds like you are one busy girl. All that cooking and baking, I just run by and pick up pastries at my local bakery. I'm sort of a clutz in the kitchen! Then I eat half of what I've baked, so bad!!! Stacey I always enjoy you coming by and hearing from you. Thanks for your friendship!
Big hugs, and Merry Christmas!

Stacey, At least you baked! I have not made a single thing. But at least I am consuming zero calories of sugar. On the other hand.... since I have done so little cooking since my mishap in the kitchen last month, carry out for dinner has been a mainstay. Do you think there are many calories in food from Taco Bell, Mickey D's, Subway.... LOL
Seriously, I am craving chocolate- maybe I should mix up a batch of simple cookies this weekend. *grin*
