I'm Lucky!

Hi all! Sorry I've been missing in action for the last week. Just too much to do here. I did post briefly yesterday...in a gripey mode...so I deleted it when I realized people were worrying. Not to worry! Just too much going on here.

I wanted to show you what I won a couple of weeks ago!

Sweet Barb of Bella Vista hosted a Ho Ho Ho Giveaway and I was the lucky recipient! Look at the darling little snowman. :) She also included a Gooseberry Patch Christmas cookbook. Both items are adorable! I've kept them on my kitchen counter and I just go by and smile. The cookbook is full of great recipes and tidbits of wisdom. Thank you so much Barb for sharing with me.

Yesterday I had a hankerin' for pumpkin pie. I bought a Mrs. Smiths and I just have to say Yummy. It's not as wonderful as homemade but it made me smile. I think pumpkin pie just tastes like fall. Don't you?

Another reason I'm feeling lucky is that tomorrow youngest son and I are heading for St. Louis to visit Webster University. He really wants to attend a music conservatory program so we are off to visit! Wish us luck on our 8 hour drive.

Be back on Sunday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have much to smile about.

Missed yours posts. Glad everything is okay. I think with holidays coming, I'm going to have a lot going on and less time (sad face) for my blogging.
Cute little snowman and Goose berry cookbooks are the best.
I will be praying for a safe and fun trip for you and your son.

I am glad to know there is a smile today...I caught that brief one yesterday...I knew your heart was heavy at the time.

Good luck on your trip...long one...hard to let go of children but they have to fly their wings.

Keep that positive attitude!

Girl, you need to take some time and take it easy. I understand that being too busy thing very well. It seems to really ramp up with the holidays coming up. I love all the things I do but it sure is nice to just stop and have a bit of time that is all my own every once in a while.
Blessings to you
Debbie

If you have a chance before you leave, check your E-mail . . . I sent you a note about MY WEBSTER GRAD (my oldest daughter, Leigh)! Small world, huh!

When Leigh went to check out Webster and to interview for a scholarship, I was tied up with a women's retreat, and her dad got to take her. It was good bonding for them, but I was sooooo sad that I missed out! So enjoy!

Can't wait to hear all about it!

XO! Pamm

Congrats on your winnings! I think I have that same cookbook, I just looked for it but I think it's packed away with my Christmas stuff. It's great if it's the same one. Yes, we are very relieved about the tumor, thank God it's benign!! Kristen

Glad to hear that all is well. I know what you mean that sometimes things just get busier than we like and throw us all off.
Congrats on winning the give-away!

I have been craving pumpkin pie...and there it is! It looks wonderful and now I must go out and find one...so off to the bakery I go!
I know exactly how you feel when you post and then realize..oops..and feel the need to redo it. That happens a lot to me lately...but on the other hand..we want you to be yourself and feel free to share your heart. Everyone get overwhelmed, or sick or just plain down from time to time.

I ordered the Christmas cookbook and I got something totally different...so ..I am envying your wonderful win! The little snowman is so cute!
