Laundry Room Complete

How pitiful is it that I didn't finish my project in time for the Procrastinator's Reveal party? Um...yes I know it's pretty bad. I have my excuses though. Really!

I have finished my laundry room project and I love it!

I'll show you around but keep in mind that this is a utilitarian room and too much foofoo just won't work for me because I am the

Laundry Queen!
by that I mean I do a lot of laundry

This is the view peeking into this long narrow room. When I say long I mean maybe 10 or 12 feet. As far as width goes, I can almost reach from one side to the other.

This print has been with me for probably 17 years. It's a reproduction of a Mary Cassatt painting. I love her. Besides my dogs this is about as close as it gets to having girls in the house.

This little rack is hiding behind the door and I've been hanging clothes on it.

My tin ceiling tile bucket that did hang on my front door with real plants in it. Now it's in here with one of the best fakes I've ever seen.

Apothecary jar and a picture of the Love of My Life.

Not too many accessories though because I fold laundry on the counter and on top of the washer/dryer.

This picture board was the cause of my laundry room taking so long. I made this about 8 years ago and it has a collection of my boys on it. I love to stare at these pictures. I considered taking it down or changing it....in the end it just has to stay.

This picture board is in the category of, "If the house is on fire grab it and run."

You understand, I'm sure.

We put up this chandelier that did belong to my husband's grandmother.

It makes the room absolutely sparkle.***

Not bad for a laundry room. :)

Oh, I almost forgot. I grabbed these cute glass knobs at Hobby Lobby yesterday. I only bought two but I'm going back for more. Just a little more sparkle.

i am working on it - and your inspiration has given me the boost I need!

Soooo nice...almost too pretty to drag dirty clothes into it. The collage of pictures is what makes it personal...so I vote for keeping it.

Raining again here and turning colder...so looks like there will be no messing in my flower beds today.

I love it, Stacey! My laundry room is designed like yours, except my countertop has a sink in it, which I would gladly give up to have more folding space. I love the little window, too -- how nice to have natural light. Your chandelier is gorgeous and your picture board is an excellent idea. How nice to be able to enjoy your pictures as you fold clothes. You did a great job!

I might just enjoy laundry if my room looked like that! I am so glad you kept the picture board of your boys....those are the things that are so sweet! Love the chandelier, and I got a chuckle out of your reason for keeping the girl picture!!! I can relate to that :-)

Beautiful job...congrats to you on finishing it!!!!

Hi girls. Thank you for your sweet comments.

Perspective changes when we look at our pictures...doesn't it? This room still looks kind of blank to me in the pictures. It doesn't really in person. The best things to me are the new paint job and the chandelier.

I love your laundry room! As someone who still does laundry in the dungeoun, I just dream of someday having a first floor laundry that wil look this pretty. The chandelier is so beautiful, I wouldn't mind doing laundry in a bright pretty place like that!

How pretty and functional. My laundry room is very narrow too which makes it had to get an ironing board set up.
Love the chandalier, knobs and everything else. Lovely place to spend busy time in.

Sue

Here's what I LOVE about your laundry room....
1. It has a window....plenty of light and happiness.
2. It has a counter......room to fold clothes and such.
3. Love the chandelier and those knobs that make it pretty!
4. Love the pics that remind you of the reason you do all the laundry.

My laundry room is also where the dogs stay, and holds a freezer, a washer and dryer. I'm not sure WHAT I can do to make it look any prettier......but I loved looking at yours!! :)

Since it was a procrastinaor's reveal, it is appropriate that you didn't make it on time. That proves you ARE a procrastinator!
The room is adorable, you are lucky to have a window in there. The chandy is just perfect.

Oh, Stacey! I love your laundry room! It looks wonderful! First of all that picture of the little girl is so darling and I like it that you have all those memory pictures of your boys to spur you on when you're trying to find those lost socks in the dryer! :)
The knobs on your cabinets are so pretty! I just may have to go and check those out! The chandy is beautiful - the finishing touch. I'm so proud of you - everything is gorgeous!

You've put so many pretty touches to this work space! I love the crystal door knobs and the chandelier of course! Whenever we are asked what is your favorite household chore...I say laundry! I LOVE doing laundry! I think I should work on sprucing up my laundry room!

Beautiful! I never would have thought to put a chandy in my laundry room, but I think I might do it. My laundry room is 6 X 18...yep, weird, yes. The sink, W&D, and cabinets are all lined up on one side, with nothing on the other side...drives me bonkers...I'm trying to come up with some creative ideas...have any? Yours turned out fabulous!

God bless,
Mary

Just like I imagined it to look, only prettier. I love the concept of having your grandmother's crystal chandelier in your laundry. You did a beautiful job! I would enjoy doing laundry in a room like yours.

Stacey, this looks so great! I can't believe you have a gorgeous chandellier in your laundry room! When our children were little, my husband used to ask if I had a man in the laundry room, because any time he came home, I was in the laundry room! If it had looked like yours, I might have taken a man in there!! laurie
