To Top it Off

Woo hoo! Today I'm joining the Ruby Tuesday party for the very first time.

After painting my kitchen awhile back, we put the plate rack back in the same spot. We didn't put back the vine that had been hanging above for a long time. I kept thinking that the plate rack looked naked. Something needed to be on top....

Then a quick pass through Hobby Lobby led me to this plaque that is just perfect above the plates.

Yes, those are really glass doorknobs. I love it! Since it came from the Hobby Lobby half price sale it was a bargain too. (Please excuse the 4 o'clock shadows.)

Be sure to visit Mary and all the other Ruby Tuesday participants. Happy Tuesday!

I was just at Hobby Lobby. Met Robert to look at marbles and rocks for the mosaic he's planning in cement outside. I haven't seen those glass knobs there though. I love glass knobs! I'd have zeroed in on them! Had to tell you this. I then went to my grocery store, and they no longer had the chocolate cakes from WW I told you about recently! I was aghast. Had the manager come over and he said they might have done away with them. I've been eating those for three or four years. I immediately thought of you, as I'd told you you can have your chocolate cake and eat it too!

I love that plate rack! I've been looking for one just like that. Hobby Lobby is the best! It's hard to leave there without finding something wonderful to buy! That plaque looks great above the plates!

Don't we all love Hobby Lobby. There is not one in my small town, but I will go 30 to 40 miles away to one. Also love Michael's. That is a nice look over the plate rack.

Love the plate rack. I have plates just like that and have them hanging on the wall with plate holders. The plaque above looks great. Out little town doesn't have a Hobby Lobby. I'll have to look up on the internet to find the closest one. I know I would love it.

Stacey,

I love the placque! It looks perfect above the plate rack. And I adore the plate rack. I have seen these doorknob thingies here and there and I started thinking that maybe they wouldn't be so hard to make. Some junk shops sell old doorknobs of all types. And I want to say I love your red/pink dishes! I try so hard to find them but somebody else is getting all of them!! lol!!

Have a great week, my friend!!

Those plates are great, and your right, that plaque complements it beautifully.

My grandmother's house had glass door knobs. I loved them, but she had them removed in the early 60s because they were too "old-fashioned". I wonder where they ended up? Maybe on your plaque! ;)

Love it. Every thing is so cheerful!

Now, whenever I see red I think of you. You have given me a whole new appreciation of this beautiful color. Perfect addition to your plate rack with that door knob display. I wish we had a Hobby Lobby in our county.
