Let's Go House Stalking!

I just had to call this House Stalking!

I can say that among my blog friends, right? I know y'all understand.

This is an area of Oklahoma City called Nichols Hills.

I had about 15 extra minutes on the way to the airport the other day. Thinking only of my blog friends, I drove through to take a few pictures. I love to drive through there. The homes are older - probably 40-50 years old. The homes are unique in design. They do not all look alike.

Some of the homes are huge. Some are average size. Some are small.

The look in this area is completely different than what builders do now.

This one is different. Don't you agree?

Just look at this yard! The mature trees and landscaping are what really set this area apart.

Be still my heart.

I think this one look Beaver Cleaverish. I love it!

See..here's a really big one! That's too much to keep clean.

This one is pretty tucked behind the trees.

Doesn't it just make you sigh? I will definitely go do this again soon.
Hope you enjoyed the drive with me.

These look like homes - not just houses...lots of love have gone into them over the years.

House stalking is my favorite pastime. I could seriously spend an entire day just driving around, looking at houses, and imagining the life that goes on inside them.

Wonderful post! Thank you so much for thinking of your bloggy friends!

that IS a fun tour....I love doing this, too. I'll have to do that here so you can see how the rich and famous live...ahem, NOT in my neighborhood!! ;)

Oh, that was such fun! I'm the "House Snoop Queen"! I love looking at houses of all shapes, sizes, colors, and cost! Those houses you showed us are beautiful and unique. I, too, love more established neighborhoods where the trees are tall. Can't wait for the next tour!

Beautiful neighborhood! Thanks for the tour!

We like to drive around & look at houses to get ideas for landscaping. We also like to go to open houses to get ideas for decorating. Free entertainment!

Thanks for visiting my corner of Blogdom and for leaving a nice comment and for snagging the button. (I think that you're the first!)

I love drive-bys and I do feel like a stalker when I do them, especially with the camera in hand. Some of these homes look as if they came right off a movie set. It really is a charming neighborhood.

They are all wonderful, Stacey! And I agree - I can barely keep my little house clean, certainly not a BIG one. Been spending too much time in the garden, now that the rain has finally stopped here, too. Your plants look wonderful!!
Cheers, Andrea

Sometimes my husband and I drive through different neighborhoods and just enjoy the many houses. It was fun to take this drive with you. The fourth and the fifth ones were definitely my favorites, although I enjoyed seeing them all. Thanks Stacey for allowing us to stalk with you.

I love looking at houses! When we go into Atlanta I always make my husband take the local routes instead of the highway so I can see all the wonderful homes. I enjoyed the house stalking!

Hi Stacey...It's great to be back from my bloggy break that almost broke us...$$$...and thanks so much for your sweet comments on my blog. You certainly can understand my anguish over the costs...since you've been through it too...I loved stalking these beauties...
our neighborhood is similar because of the mature trees & all of the homes were custom by different builders back in the
60s...Ours is 46 years old & I love it more than our previous new house. I've missed visiting with you! ;-) Bo

I went to high school in Del City. So Nichols Hills, being west, has always been famous to me. It is a most beautiful area of the city. Regal and tasteful. Thanks for taking me back. I haven't been there in a long time!

Stacey,

Well this looks really familiar! LOL. I have the priviledge of driving through Nichols Hills almost everyday...I live just south of Lake Hefner and so when I go to Penn Square or Crescent Market I take the scenic route. I think it's great you posted these pictures... I think Nichols Hills is probably one of the prettiest neighborhoods I've ever seen..certainly some of the homes are! Hope you are enoying the sunshine. P.S. I found a great soup turine at Serendipity for $5.00 today!! I'll have to do a post about it! Have a great week! Miss Bloomers/Sonia

Beautiful homes. Did you notice the two dogs? Stella is mine and Chloe is my daughters dog. I have had Stella since Ansley left for college, and its great having her around. Allergic to cats, so that can't happen.Jackie

How pretty; I prefer older homes with mature yards. That neighborhood had lots of variety, which I prefer to today's cookie-cutter subdivisions (like the one I live in, oh well!).
