Had to take my honey to the airport early this morning.
Now yesterday I would have been whining while I posted all of these pictures. You see, as of yesterday it was raining for 16 out of 17 days! We absolutely do need the rain but I Need Sun!!
Inspite of the darkness that just seems to keep coming around, my plants are happy.

This trumpet vine grows on our pergola. It's actually kind of ugly but the hummingbirds love it!

I know, I keep showing the clematis. They are just so beautiful!

Just planted this clematis last year on my potting bench. It's very happy there.

This little plant above is a favorite annual. It's called Bacopa. It spreads across the ground and stays covered in the little white flowers.

This hosta came out huge this year. I'd say it likes the rain.

Peeking out at the backyard from the safety of the patio.
The Sun is actually shining today. Thank you very much!
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I'd say you were gifted with quite a green thumb! Your hosta is perfect, the clematis are stunning, and I even like your trumpet vine - especially since it attracts hummers. Such a cute little pond too!

Yes your clematis are beautiful. I have one white, one lavender and one dark purple. There must be several varieties since the white and lavender one is different than the purple one. Your yard is beautiful.

Oh, my, Stacy....these all look so beautiful. I envy all you gals that live in climates and conditions that allow this kind of beauty. We have to work really hard to keep our plants alive and they seldom get beautiful...just passable.
SOOOO, thanks much for sharing!

Your pictures are beautiful and I love clematis! My yard looked like a hurricane went through it last night...I'm sure you got your share of the high winds last night too! First rain, then wind and tonight they predict hail...I'm not complaining but if the locust show up I think we are in trouble!! LOL The SUN is shining today and it's beautiful right now--I'm counting my blessings!! Sonia/Miss Bloomers

I love the flowers in your yard. At least you are getting rain. We don't get much here in SoCal & for the last few years have gotten even less. The rain makes things more green & beautiful. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment.

The clematis is so pretty - about the one you said you had growing by the potting bench...is it in a pot or in the ground. I am going to have to buy me one...they look so pretty.

Yay for the sun today...but who knows what tonight will bring.

Hi Stacey! Your backyard is gorgeous! I just finished mowing and weed-wacking mine and I even planted a few pots of flowers BUT I am like in a fish bowl! I love the privacy you have - just beautiful! Is that a fish pond I see! Don't let my husband see he is a Koi Pond nut and we have 2 but he needs a bigger one for all the fish eggs he collects and hatches!Ugh!! Any way just beautiful! My clematis are just getting ready to open! Yeaa Have a great Thursday it's back to work for me! Jeannette

Hi Stacey,

Your plants are gorgeous! I have wanted a trumpet vine because I have heard that the hummingbirds love them! I also want to get some hostas....yours is doing GREAT. All of your flowers are doing great.

We have had a sunny day today too, but it has been very windy. I heard we are supposed to get more rain and storms tonight...YUCK!

Stacey,

I just loved looking at your pictures!! Sorry about the rain. We have been having it off & on for over a week and today~just all day. I didn't feel like doing anything!!!

I was looking at your trumpet vine. I planted one last summer on a trellis and it grew very slowly and did not bloom before the frost so I have my fingers crossed. I also planted clematis on an arbor and it is slowly creeping up. I don't remember if it was pink or purple, but both of your pink ones are simply gorgeous!! I will call you if I need help!!!

Oh, your yard is just beautiful!! Have a great week! :-D

Hi Stacey, your hosta is gorgeous and so are your clematis (I am not good with them), just look at all those buds and anything that attracts the hummingbirds has got to be beautiful, hugs, Kathy.

In Portland, Oregon...we always joke that the sun will come out on July 5th. At least we get to live in a green place...really green. Your flowers seem to really love the humid weather...they are beautiful and so healthy! I guess it is supposed to be in the 80s this weekend...love it! I love that video you posted...I hope that you had a great Mother's Day.

Happy Thursday!

Everything in your yard looks beautiful especially the clematis. I'm not familiar with the bacopa plant, but I'm going to look for it as it sounds like something nice for my yard.

Your flowers are just beautiful, despite the rain! In our area most of the clematis is blue or white. I really like your pink ones. I am going to see if I can find a pink clematis plant for my mailbox area. Thanks for sharing your beauty with us.

Hi Stacey
The flowers in your garden are wonderful I love clematis! Sorry you are having so much rain. Rain is a relative thing. We have been in drought conditions here in NC for 2 years and finally have had enough rain that it is no longer a problem. So when we get rain it's stil a blessing.
